First in the 400 dash went to Paul Heldring for the Chargers in 53.97, with Waltz second at 54.19. In the 800, Parker was first clocked at 2:03.53 for the Chargers. Parker also won the 1,600 run in 4:33.33, with Tanner Mason fifth at 5:13.55. Pruitt won the 3,200 for Barr-Reeve in 9:49. Monday evening, the Chargers took first in a three team meet at North Posey High School, scoring 72 points, Evansville Mater Dei 42 and North Posey 40. ���The guys had another good performance Monday with 15 improvements in times, heights or distances from our previous meets,��� said Coach Kramer. ���With no pole vault, we still did very well, scoring in a lot of events. We had two people score in nearly every running event and had some good performances in the field events as well. We had some guys not running in their usual events and they still did well. We are really looking forward to the PikeDubois Invitational Thursday at Jasper. There should be some great competition in all the events, so I���m looking forward to seeing how the guys perform.��� In the hurdles, Montgomery was first in the 110 high hurdles at 18.16 and Aldridge second at 20.16. Montgomery also won the 300 hurdles for Pike Central, with a time of 43.64, with Aldridge second at 44.64. Petty won the 100 dash for PC, clocked at 11.34 seconds, with Stieneker second in 11.41. In the 400 meter relay, Mater Dei was first at 45.25, with Pike Central second at 46.60, with Stieneker, Montgomery, Aldridge and Roberts running. Pike Central won the 1,600 relay in 3:44, with Mater Dei second at 3:56.14. Parker, Montgomery, Waltz and Heldring ran. North Posey won the 3,200 relay in 10:16, with Pike Central second at 11:02.40, with Jacob Capozella, Mason, Heldring and Tanner McFarland running. Joey Carroll won the shot put, with a season best 426, with Kempf fourth at 3510.5. Wright won the discus for Mater Dei at 111-1, with Carroll third in 98-7. Petty won the long jump, with a best of 19-4. Riley was third at 18-1. Holtz won the high jump for North Posey at 6-4, with Corlett third at 5-10. Swoop takes a seat and watches as Space Jam jams the basketball through the hoop in the Harlem Wizards Game Saturday. The next dunk broke the backboard, shattering the glass, and bringing down the rim, something he has done before. Chargers boys golf underway By Mike Johansen It was kind of an up, in the middle and down week for the Pike Central Chargers boys��� golf team with one win, a second and then a lower place finish in the Vincennes Invitational on Saturday. The Chargers started in the up position in a home match on April 2 beating the Princeton Tigers by two strokes in a dual meet at Prides Creek Golf Course. The Chargers had a team score of 197 at Prides Creek and Princeton came in at 199. For the varsity, the nine hole scores were Kaleb Hill 48, Jeff Norrick 49, Clay Cunningham 50 and Laron Griffith 50. The other PC scores were Austin Hannebutt 53, Tyler Daw- son (ill with the flu) 54, Austin Dixon 53, C.J. Popp 54, with Ty Hickey, Caleb Freeland and Nick Lee not being able to finish because of darkness. The second meet of the season was at the always tough Cambridge Golf Course near I-64 in Gibson County, with the Gibson Southern Trojans hosting. Gibson Southern was first with 185, Pike Central second at 198 and North Posey third at 224. Hill shot 49, Norrick 49, Pope 49, Griffith 51 and Cunningham 53. The Chargers did not have a good day on Saturday, finishing in 17th place in the 20 team Vincennes Invitational at Country Club of Old Vincennes, the likely Sectional golf course. Evansville Reitz won the tourney with a 335 stroke total for the four low 18 hole scores and Pike Central was 17th with 411 strokes. The team scores are Evansville Reitz 335, Vincennes Lincoln Green 342, South Spencer 346, Southridge 348, Evansville Central 358, Washington 360, Vincennes Lincoln White 363, North Knox 371, Gibson Southern 376, Evansville Mater Dei 379, Princeton 384, North Daviess 385, Barr-Reeve 392, South Knox 395, Mount Vernon 398, White River Valley 407, Pike Central 411, North Posey 413, Boonville 418, Washington Catholic 437, Dylan Meyer of Evansville Central was low medalist at 73. Norrick shot a 99 for the Chargers, Hill 101, Griffith 104, Cunningham 107 and Dawson 108.
