Elza Henson, Jr., 83, of Petersburg, entered rest on Friday May 18, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, with his family by his side. He was born on August 10, 1934, in Pike County, to El- za D., Sr. and Ruth (Dough- ty) Henson. He had worked at Chrys- ler Corporation in Evans- ville and in St. Louis, Mo. for nine years. He took a po- sition at Western-Southern Life Insurance Company, from which he retired after 30 years. A fter retirement, he worked land acquisition on several coal, gas and oil projects. He loved and en- joyed spending time with his family. Survivors are his wife of 64 years, Carolyn (Preston) Henson, whom he married on November 7, 1953; sons, Terry ( Jackie) Henson, of Winslow, and David Hen- son, of Petersburg; daugh- ter, Kim (Randy) Warns- man, of Petersburg; grand- children, Mendy ( Jeff ) Nel- son, of Otwell, Jake (Abby) Warnsman, of Montgom- ery, and Jackson (Erika) Henson, of Petersburg; great-grandchildren, Nolan and Sam Nelson, of Otwell, Daisy and Belle Warnsman, of Montgomery, Evangelyne Henson, of Petersburg; and a sister, Faye Willis, of Pe- tersburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; and great-granddaughter, Eve- lyne Henson. Services will be at 11 a.m. EDT, Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Lamb-Basham Me- morial Chapel, with Rev. VAUGHN EDWARD SCHUESSLER Vaughn Edward Schuessler, 51, of Princeton, passed away at his home on May 18, 2018. He was born in Princeton on November 7, 1966. A 1984 graduate of Pike Central High School, Vaughn had a brief stint in the Army following high school. He spent sever- al years in Delphi and Ko- komo, working at Indiana Packers before settling in Princeton in 2012. Collect- ing antique electrical insu- lators and sharing his exten- sive knowledge of them with others was a passion that he enjoyed. He also enjoyed watching football, especially the Indianapolis Colts, and old Western movies. Every- one he met, he considered a friend. He is survived by his par- ents, Linda Duncan, of Oak- land City, and Ed and Kay Schuessler, of Winslow; brothers and sisters, Scott Mason, of Brookville, Ind., Davarna (Robin) Bond, of Princeton, Stephanie (Mark) Painter, of Fort- ville, Ind., and Brian (Can- di) Schuessler, of Winslow; and nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, George and Wilma Schauss, and John and Sophia Schuessler; a sister, Melis- sa Mason; and niece, Dayna Rainbolt. Funeral services will be at 10 :30 a.m. CDT, Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Corn-Col- vin Funeral Home in Oak- land City, with Pastor Don Priest officiating. McGreevey, 87, passed away on May 15, 2018, in Aurora, Colo. Born July 14, 1930, in Petersburg, she eventual- ly moved to Terre Haute, where she owned and op- erated Lark Commercial Painting and Sandblasting. She was a prominent har- ness racing breeder and had been involved as an owner and breeder for several de- cades, breeding champions in Florida along the way. A fter the passing of her first husband, she married Mike McGreevy, a champi- on mini race car driver in the 1950s. They purchased a farm in Perrysville, Ind., and in 1979, relocated to Trenton, Fla., where they be- gan breeding, training, rac- ing and boarding Standard- breeds. She retired in 2014, and she and her husband moved to Bell, Fla., before moving to Colorado. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Ed) Kos- chik; two grandsons; and four great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death by 45 days. GR ANT O'NEAL EVERSOLL Grant O'Neal Eversoll, 57, of Nashville, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018, in I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloom- ington. He was born May 12, 1961, in Washington, the youngest son of Albert Wayne Eversoll and Arbu- tus Lucille Carr Eversoll. A 1979 Pike Central High School graduate, he was a self-employed talented mu- sician, who played in sever- al different venues through- out the area. He was of the Baptist Faith and a master gardener. Survivors include the love of his life, Marsha Good- night Eversoll, of Nashville; two sons, Ian (Aulin) Chris- topher Eversoll, of Elletts- ville, and Noah James Ever- soll, of Nashville; a grand- son; a brother; Earl (Kim) Wayne Eversoll, of Colum- bus; two stepdaughters; Sarah ( Jeremy) Henry Mei- er, of Florida, and Amanda (Derrick) Henry Ziegler, of Petersburg, a stepson; Ky- ler (Stephanie) Henry, of Pe- tersburg; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son; Llogan Beck; two brothers; Wrex Alan Eversoll and Larry Gene Eversoll; and a step- son, Christopher Burkhardt. Viewing will be from 1- 3 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018, at Bond Mitchell Fu- neral Home in Nashville, Ind. Graveside services will immediately follow. RHODA MAE OWENS Rhoda Mae Owens, 91, of Vincennes, passed away on May 19, 2018, in Vincennes. She was born October 15, 1926, in Knox County, to Al- pha and Gertrude Taylor. She was a member of Hamline Chapel United Methodist Church. She re- tired from South Knox School Corp., where she worked as a teacher's aid. She was also a volunteer at the Blue Jeans Community Center, and enjoyed denim crafting and genealogy. Her lifelong passion was helping children learn to read. Surviving are her chil- dren, Roy (Chetta) Ow- ens, of Springtown, Tex- as, and Rita Miley, of Vin- cennes; brother, Bert Tay- lor, of Monroe City; sister, Beverly McCoy, of Monroe City; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grand- children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Owens, whom she married in 1944; her son, Robert Franklin Owens; sister, Ada Cannon; and her parents. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Hamline Chap- el Cemetery, with viewing from 10 a.m. until service time at the church located outside of Monroe City. There was a Celebration of Life from 3-6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at the Petersburg VFW, with military honors at 4 p.m. THELMA EMILY KELLAMS Thelma Emily Kellams, 96, passed away on May 17, 2018, in Petersburg. She was born December 21, 1921, in Pike County. She is survived by her granddaughter, Jannell Kellams Brown; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kel- lams; son, Wayne Kellams; and daughter, Darla Kel- lams. Services for Thelma will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, with viewing from 11 a.m. to ser- vice time. Burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with her care. KENT DOUGLASS STAFFORD Kent Douglass Stafford, 55, of Huntingburg, formerly of Petersburg, passed away suddenly May 17, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. He was born October 5, 1962, in Washington, to Aaron and Elsie (Emmons) Stafford. He married Tracey Lough July 1, 1983. A 1980 graduate of Pike Central High School, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Le- gion Post 0147. He enjoyed spending time with his fami- ly and friends, and watching and listening to Fox News. Surviving are his wife, Tracey; one son, Ron- ald (Megan), of Washing- ton; two daughters, Jenni- fer Potts, of Ferdinand, and Nikki (fiancée Molly Sand- ers) Stafford, of Ferdinand; three grandchildren, Zayda, Isaiah and Carson, of whom he was a proud Poppy; two
