Operation Round-Up donates to 4-H Council Operation Round-Up, the Community Trust of WIN Energy REMC, donated $5,810 to the Pike Coun- ty 4-H Council last week. The money will be used to improve electrical services, including electrical dis- tribution boxes, increased amp service and increased circuitry in the Robinson Memorial Building and Livestock buildings. Farm Bureau donates $5,000 for free fair rides Pike County Farm Bureau donated $5,000 to the Pike County 4-H Council to help sponsor free rides again for the 2018 Pike County Fair. Last year was the first year to have free rides and it was a huge suc- cess, drawing large crowds to the fair. Klipsch. Salvation Army needs bell ringers The Salvation Army needs help with bell ringer volun- teers this weekend. They are ringing at two locations: the Dollar General Store and Pe- tersburg Hardware. On Friday, at Petersburg Hardware, they need ringers from 5 to 7 p.m. At the Dollar General Store, they need ringers for noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, then all day on Saturday,b2 except 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Anyone interested in vol- unteering can call Cal Bid- dle at 812-582-2385.
