Sports editor Ed Cahill won the third place award for the Best Sports Action Photo. It was a picture of Pike Central catcher Brax- ton Rice diving for a foul ball. Editor Andy Heuring placed second in the cate- gory Best News Coverage Under Deadline Pressure for coverage of two 12 year olds falling through the ice and drowning last Decem- ber.
