Sophomore Jagar Glad- ish, wrestling at 152 pounds, went 5 -3 with two wins by pins and three wins by for- feits. Freshman Lane Potts won five of six bouts, going 1-0 while wrestling at 113 pounds with a win by for- feit and 4-1 while wrestling at 106 pounds with four wins by forfeits. Senior Gavin Boyd went 4- 4, including 4-3 while wres- tling at 170 pounds with two wins by pins, one win by a 16 -1 technical fall and one win by forfeit. Boyd also wrestled once at 182 pounds, losing by a 6 -3 decision to South Spencer sophomore Brenden Moore. Senior Randy Powell won four of eight bouts, going 3-4 while wrestling at 132 pounds with two wins by pins and one win by a 9 -3 decision and 1-0 while wres- tling at 138 pounds with a win by a 9 -2 decision over Heritage Hills junior Levi Hexamer. Sophomore Ian Allen, wrestling at 160 pounds, went 4-4 with three wins by pins and one win by forfeit. Senior Jerry Greer, wres- tling at 145 pounds, went 3-5 with one win by a 10 -0 major decision, one win by a 6 -0 de- cision and one win by forfeit; while freshman Lane Mill- er, wrestling at 120 pounds, went 3-4 with two wins by pins and one win by forfeit. Sophomore Blake Hen- son was 1-1 overall, going 1-0 while wrestling at 132 pounds with a win by for- feit and 0 -1 while wrestling at 138 pounds with a loss by a 7-1 decision to Forest Park freshman Trevor Horney. Sophomore Brandon Goeppner, wrestling at 138 pounds, was winless in six bouts. North Posey went 8 -0 to take first place, followed by Southridge (7-1) and Gib- son Southern (6 -2). Her- itage Hills was fifth at 4- 4, followed by Tell City (3- 5), Tecumseh (2-6), Forest Park (1-7) and South Spen- cer (0 -8). "We lost to three good teams but we are not okay with the fact that we lost to them," Hewig said. "We need to capitalize more in big matches. Against Gib- son especially, we win that match if we just win the matches we are supposed to. We will definitely put the work in over the next few weeks to make sure that does not happen again." PCHS boys' swimming team defeats Evansville Reitz 103-80 Seniors Jacob Bohnert and Lukas Hill and sopho- more Jersey Mills won two individual events each to lead the Pike Central High School boys' swimming team to a 103-80 victory over visiting Evansville Reitz on Monday, Dec. 11. Bohnert placed first in the 100 -yard butterfly with a time of 58.76 seconds and in the 100 -yard backstroke with a time of 58.77 seconds. Lukas Hill placed first in the 200 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 1:59.83 and in the 100 -yard breast- stroke with a season-best time of 1:01.92. Mills placed first in the 50 -yard freestyle with a sea- son-best time of 24.65 sec- onds and in the 100 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 53.80 seconds. In addition, Bohnert, Lu- kas Hill and Mills teamed up with senior Jackson Keepes to place first in the 200 -yard medley relay with a time of 1:52.17. Bohnert placed first in the 200 -yard individual medley with a season-best time of 2:18.46 and in the 100 -yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.11. In addition, senior Cass Conder placed first in the 100 -yard breaststroke with a season-best time of 1:24.64. Bohnert and Conder also teamed up with seniors Quin Bailey and Brittany Young to place first in the 200 -yard medley relay with a time of 2:11.46 and second in the 400 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:22.21. Placing second in individual events for the Lady Chargers were Bailey in the 200 -yard freestyle with a time of 2:29.04 and in the 100 -yard freestyle with a time of 1:03.61; fresh- man Charlotte Dudenhoeffer in the 500 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 6:51.26; and freshman Jenna Meyer in diving with a season-best six- dive score of 189.45 points.
