Festival of Trees at Dubois County Museum, Nov. 16 "Christmas with our Vet- erans" will be the theme of this year's Festival of Trees event at the Dubois Coun- ty Museum. Special trib- ute will be given to our ser- vicemen and women, active or retired. Twelve lighted trees will be set up in Exhib- it Room III, and interested families are being solicited to decorate them with a mil- itary focus. Any service per- son and/or family is eligible to use their own ornaments in carrying out their own de- sign idea. The grand opening for the Festival of Trees will be the evening of Thursday, Nov. 16. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with viewing of the trees from 5:30 -6 p.m. A pro- gram with speakers will be- gin at 6 p.m. Several veter- ans will be invited to share their Christmas memories of while they were serving in the military. They may speak about their experienc- es while stationed stateside or in a foreign country. Fol- lowing the memories, Fran- cisco Lioveras, exceptional singer and music director at St. Francis of Assisi parishes in Spencer County, will re- turn for the third year and present a variety of Christ- mas musical favorites. Re- freshments will be available and there will be a drawing for prizes. The museum is making this event free to the public this year. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Sat- urday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday 1-4 p.m. and closed on Monday. The museum is located in Jasper at 2704 N.
