Heartland Half Marathon in need of volunteers–Are you look- ing for a fun service project the whole family can participate in? The Heart- land Half Marathon committee is in need of volunteers for this year's Heartland Half Marathon. The event is scheduled to take place during La- bor Day Weekend on Saturday, Sep- tember 2 in Jasper. The events will in- clude a half marathon, 5K, and team challenge. Volunteers are needed for registra- tion in the morning and afternoon on Friday, September 1 and during the race on Saturday, which will begin at 7:30 a.m. Volunteers generally work in pairs or small groups, and chil- dren/teens can also help when paired with an adult. History Comes Alive–Join us as we commemorate the 72nd Anniver- sary of the end of W WII. The event will be September 2-3, Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Indiana Military Museum. Museum admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
