EVERY TUESDAY Continued in next column Kittens can work out mathematically the ex- act place to sit that will cause the most inconve- nience. This week, PAWS is featuring an adorable young kitten named Ric- ochet, who got her name honestly, as she bounc- es from place to place like a bullet ricochets off a wall. Ricochet and her two brothers, Ka- ki and Blacktop, were born at PAWS about nine weeks ago. They are all very gregarious kittens, and love to be held and petted. Ricochet is a uniquely colored calico. Her nose has a triangle shape, col- ored half black and half orange. Kaki is tan and white, and Blacktop is PAWS WEEK PAWS WEEK Pet of the RICOCHET Continued on page 3 all black. These kittens can be adopted for $ 30 by calling PAWS at 812-354-9894. The first key for usefulness in God's Kingdom is humili- ty. Pride cuts us off from God (and from other people) and deceives us into thinking we can do God's work without God's power. When we rely on the Holy Spirit, however, He sanctifies us and empow- ers us so we can be effective tools in God's hands. But there is a second key, and that is faith—faith that God is sovereign, and that He is at work, even if we can't see it. Habakkuk complained to God that evil people were winning the day. But God re- plied, "I will work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told you" (Ha- bakkuk 1:5). God is at work, even in the midst of the problems, pessi- mism and frustrations of our day. He alone is sovereign and that is why we can trust Him, even when the way seems dark. If at any time you have no church to attend, feel free to join us for services. I'm sure you will leave feeling blessed. Jerry "Tuffy" Blackwell, Pastor Sharon Kendall, Reporter NEW LIBERTY G.B.
