By the way, if you're a first- time visitor and you wonder why the outside of Filoli's house looks familiar, perhaps you are a fan of 1980's TV show Dynasty. e exterior of it was used as the Car- rington Mansion in the opening credits. Filoli has been celebrating its centennial anniversary with vari- ous events over a three-year pe- riod. 2017 is the final year, and the focus is the garden. e web site will post more announcements in the future. One planned 13-class series will begin Feb. 8 or Feb. 11. "A Year in the Garden" is for the home gardener who wants an in–depth understanding of plants and gardening.
