Hazy, Hot, Humid...The rainy week we are having will gradually turn drier, but the humidity and heat will increase. A weak upper low remains sandwiched between the Bermuda Ridge offshore and a big High out west, but this low pressure is gradually dying. Still there will be plenty of daily afternoon storms around, and the temperatures will gradually get warmer and warmer, back to around 90 or even warmer. So far I don't see a major heat wave like what we had earlier thanks to all the water in the ground and the clouds, but we are heating back up some. It's really a typical Summertime forecast with partly sunny skies, and the "3 H's"...Hazy, Hot, and Humid. To sweat, one needs only to sit outside in the tropical-like steambath air for a few minutes. That first good cold front of the Fall Season will feel awfully nice when it comes. LOW HIGH COLD WARM SHOWERS P. SUNNY RAIN ICE SNOW The Forecast: For our readers in Polkville, Lawndale and Ellenboro Friday Through Sunday: Partly to mostly cloudy with afternoon showers and storms. Very humid and muggy with highs near 90 and lows near 70 Rutherford County Weather Go To rutherfordweekly.com For Up To The Minute ©Community First Media
