Harris Dr., Shelby FRIDAY, MAY 6, 2015 Starts At 11 am-3 pm WITH OPEN HOUSE, INFORMATION FAIR AND INDOOR/OUTDOOR FLEA MARKET LUNCH WILL BE AVAILABLE 11 AM-1 PM On Friday April 1, 2016, the Neal Senior Center held a celebration for all their volunteers. The dining room was decorated in a The Star Wars theme, with music and staff dressed up too. The volunteers enjoyed a won- derful brunch with a ham biscuit, egg-cheese casserole and fruit salad. We have many volun- teers that come from differ- ent walks of life, and with all their different experi- ence this is how the senior center is able to accomplish so much. We are ever so grateful for their help in our Services Department, Nutrition Program, Housing Department and here at the Neal Senior Center. We truly appreciate all of you. Isn't it GREAT how we have the senior center to all come together to learn from, listen to, to use and to enjoy TOGETHER! Judy Henly was awarded S e n i o r C e n t e r Volunteer of the year. Her w i l l i n g - ness to help in m a n y d i f f e r - ent areas s u c h as Daytime Friends, Consignment shop, front desk, Monday night bingo, Blood pressure and blood sugar screening, just to name a few, has been the most impressive. Thank you Judy for ALL that you do. Betty McIntyre was a w a r d e d S e r v i c e s Volunteer of the year. Betty has been with the Senior Center for more than 25 years and has seen many changes from the old Senior Center to the New. She has brought with her the kindest gentlest heart that could just make you melt. We appreciate you being the backbone to our services department and our telephone reassurance pro- gram. Franklin Cook was a w a r d e d H o u s i n g Vo l u n t e e r of the year. Thank you F r a n k l i n for your dedic ation to fixing the West Warren van, your many hours of work have made the van look like new. You are a kind and talented man with a great sense of humor. The Lunch Box Packing out Group, with Keith Kiser, Ron Hillier, and Evelyn Kiser was awarded the Nutrition Volunteer of the year. Thank you for your week after week major role in the Lunch Box Ministries Program and how can we forget the laughter you bring with your never ending punch lines. Pat Thomas was awarded the Food S e r v i c e Volunteer of the year. Your wonderful p e r s o n a l - ity shines t h r o u g h in your willing to Neal Senior Center Volunteer Celebration Franklin Cook Judy Henly Bety McIntyre Pat Thomas Dick Strachan Keith Kiser and Ron Hillier work and do whatever you can to get the job done and helping the seniors with their beverage and meals. Dick Strachan was awarded the Board Volunteer of the year.
