Funeral services were held at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Mrs. Brendle was preced- ed in death by her husband, Paul F. Brendle and her par- ents, Freeman and Georgie Craig Martin. She is survived by her sons, Dean (Betty) Brendle and Keith Brendle and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home is serving the family. LT. COL. BILLY CRATON BOSTIC Lt. Col. Billy Craton Bostic, age 88, of Mooresboro, NC, passed away on April 4, 2016. Funeral services were held at Camps Creek Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Military Honors. Lt. Bostic served our country in the US Air Force after WWII as an air- plane mechanic. He was preceded in death by his par- ents, John William and Molly Selina Wiggins Bostic; two brothers, Miles Bostic and Bob Bostic; a sister, Georgia Scott and an infant son. Lt. Bostic is survived by his wife, Mabel Dixon Bostic; a daughter, Joyce Waters and husband, Steve of Boiling Springs, NC; three brothers, John Bostic and Yates Bostic both of Cliffside, NC and Wade Bostic of Flat Rock, NC; a sister, Shirley Warner of Cliffside, NC and two grandchildren. GEORGE "DUCK" JARRETT Mr. George "Duck" Jarrett, age 81, of Cherryville, NC, passed away on April 2, 2016. Graveside services were held at City Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Jarrett served our country in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his par- ents, Jesse Lester Jarrett and Pauline "Polly" Black Jarrett Sweatt and two brothers, Gene Jarrett and Jesse "Bud" Jarrett. Mr. Jarrett is survived by his wife, Mary Alma McSwain Jarrett; a daugh- ter, Cindy Pace of FL and a son, Kyle Jarrett of Vale, NC; brother, Tommy Sweatt of Lincolnton,NC; a sister, Carol S. DAVID RONALD "RONNIE" MOSS Mr. David Ronald "Ronnie" Moss, age 70, of Cherryville, NC, passed away on April 4, 2016. Funeral services were held at First United Methodist Church. Burial followed at City Memorial Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Mr. Moss served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Starts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Vernon and Annie Sue Moss; his son, David Conn Moss; his sister, Patricia Ann Moss and infant brothers, Earl Ray and Gary Scott Moss. Mr. Moss is survived by his wife, Hazeline Conn Moss; his son, Jack Everett Moss and wife, Tonya of Yadkinville, NC and two granddaughters.
