Mrs. Cranor was preced- ed in death by her parents, William and Katie (Cooke) Wilkinson, her husband Fred Taylor Cranor; a son, Michael Todd Cranor; and three brothers, Gene, Lennie, and Ronnie Wilkinson. Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory, Inc. is serving the family. ALVIN "AB" HOUSER HAMRICK Mr. Alvin "Ab" Houser Hamrick, age 93, of Fallston, NC, passed away April 6, 2016. Funeral services were held at Fallston Baptist Church. Burial followed in Rose Hill Memorial Park with military graveside rites. He served our country in World War II serv- ing as a rifle pla- toon commander in Company G, 320th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division, leading that platoon during the Normandy and Rhineland Campaigns. He received two Bronze Stars, Silver Star for hero- ism, and Purple Heart for injuries received. Mr. Hamrick was pre- ceded in death by his wife, Pauline Willard Hamrick; his parents William Franklin Hamrick and Emma Jane Cline Hamrick; and two brothers, D.S. Hamrick and Dixon Hamrick. He is survived by his son, Bill Hamrick and wife, Teresa of Fallston; Jane Spangler and husband Tim of Lincolnton and Jean Brooks and husband Mike of Holly Hill, SC; sister, Lou Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fallston, NC. Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by his wife, Affie Newton Hudson; his parents, Johnny Lemmie Hudson and Barbara Jane Turner Hudson; three sisters, Leunia Johnson, Lula Mae Downs, and Mary Sue Brady. GENE ELMORE ASHE Mr. Gene Elmore Ashe, age 68, of Spindale, NC, passed away on March 31, 2016. Funeral services were held privately. Mr. Ashe served our coun- try in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
