With their first tournament on March 8 and 9, the girls had less than two weeks to practice and get to know each others weaknesses and strengths. During the days of practice, the weather wasn't helping them out much with the harsh winds and the nightly winds making the field fairly wet. "Our strengths are definitely pitching and we hit pretty good too, we just have to work on communication I think," sophomore Alyssa Heathcoat said. In the tournament, Red Bluff had beaten Paradise, Chico, and Yreka. After those wins, then was sent to the championship game against Foothill. The girls struggled to keep up and Red Bluff lost 8-4. Red Bluff then placed second in the tournament. "My favorite part about being on the team would probably have to be how no matter how well we're doing, or how bad we're losing, the team will constantly cheer you on," sophomore Amber Harms said. The teams' goals are to set up high, meaning they need to keep their strengths up to where they are, and working on their communication on the field.
