Davis, 85, of Vale, NC passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2011. A Celebration of Life Service was held at Hull's Grove Baptist Church, Vale, NC. Mr. Davis served our coun- try in the US Army after serv- ing in WWII. He was pre- ceded in death by his parents, Roland Davis and Flossie Cooke Davis. He is survived by his wife of sixty four years, Christine Leatherman Davis; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathryn and Clark Mauney and Katrina & Johnny Burch all of Cherryville; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dot and Marshall Bowen of Waco and Ruth and Charles Anthony of Cherryville.
