KELLY DATE SISK Kelly Date Sisk, 55 of Forest City, NC passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011. Services were held at Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church. Internment followed at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Sisk was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Date and Joyce Canady Date and one brother, Jeff Date. Walker was pre- ceded in death by his par- ents, Luther Suttle and Ruth Esther Walker; a brother, Joe Ed Walker, and by a son-in- law, Dennis Melton. He is survived by his lov- ing wife of 59 years, Della Walker of the home; a son, Jeff Walker and wife Susie of Forest City, NC; two daughters, Cheryl Shew of Rutherfordton, NC and Sheila Melton of Shelby, NC; 9 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; a number of loving nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and sister-in laws. Cecil M. Burton is serving the family. MYRTLE LEONA DAVIS CLARDY Mrs. Myrtle Leona Davis Clardy, 82, of Spartanburg, formerly of Shelby passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2011. Services were held at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, Shelby. Burial was held in Sunset Cemetery. Mrs. Clardy was preceded in death by her husband, Homer A. Clardy; her par- ents, George and Maggie Dixon Davis; three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her son, Danny Clardy of Greenville; two daughters Cheri Parton and husband Alan of Spartanburg and Joyce Roberson of Shelby; sister Aileen McCurry and husband Parris of Shelby; six grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchil- dren.
