Memorial ser- vices were held at Crowe’s Chapel. Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley and Mary Elizabeth Poeth Redden. She is survived by her daughter, Rochelle Crawford of Punaluu, Oahu; sisters, Joanne Snyder and Claudia Morrow of Rutherfordton; brother, John Redden of El Cajon, CA; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Crowe’s Mortuary of Rutherfordton, NC is serving the family. VERA HELTON Vera Marie Helton, 70, of Mill Spring, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Hospice. Services were held at Mountain View Baptist Church in Mill Spring. Burial was held in the church cemetery. Mrs. Helton was preced- ed in death by her husband, William Helton; her parents, Carl and Mary Lou Burgess Gilbert. She is survived by three daughters, Trina Burnett of Mill Spring and Lisa Wilson of Woodburn, OR; sons, Don Wilson of Sherwood, OR and Mike Wilson of Couer-d-lane, ID; sister, Sandra Gilbert of Mill Spring and 8 grandchil- dren. Crowe’s Mortuary of Rutherfordton, NC is serving the family. ORUS REID COFFIELD, JR. Mr. Orus Reid Coffield, Jr., 93, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011. A memorial service will be held at Hopewell United Methodist Church. Mr. Coffield was preceded in death by his parents, O.R. and Ada May Martin Coffield and two brothers, Robert and Carson Coffield, both of Florida and a half sister, Mildred Coffield Blanton of Forest City. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ann Stewart Coffield of the home; daughter, Harriett Stewart, with whom he had made his home for the last five years; two sons, Orus Reid Coffield III of Columbia, Missouri and William (Bill) Coffield of Boiling Springs, SC; five grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; and a number Rutherfor of nieces and nephews.
