Mr. Furman Eugene “Gene” Gladden, Sr., age 83, of Kings Mountain, NC passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2011. Services were held at Resurrection Lutheran Church. Internment was held in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina. Mr. Gladden served our country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Furman Gladden and Edna Paysour Gladden and one brother, Don Gladden. He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Mildred Rippy Gladden, Kings Mtn.
