These gems can be used to get the games kind of money called gold and elixir. They can also be used to speed up those lengthy upgrades, but that's going to cost you. Overall, Clash of Clans is a super fun, highly addictive and one of the top grossing apps in the App Store with over $500,000 in revenue PER DAY! Obviously, many people are "tempted", but I have been playing for around seven months now and haven't spent a single penny. I highly recommend this app for any iPhone or Android device user, it is a must have. 'Devil's Due' fails to deliver true horror Page 4 January 31, 2014 Arts and Entertainment Owen Ritter A & E Editor 'Clash of Clans' brings constant fun When I reluctantly handed the cashier at the movies a ten dollar bill in exchange for a ticket to see 'Devil's Due', I knew exactly what I was getting myself into. No, not that I was about to watch a "sitting on the edge of my seat, half hiding behind my sweater the entire time" scary movie. This was going to be an "imagining different ways I could've spent ten dollars on a Saturday evening, wondering whether it'd be too late to saunter out and ask for a refund" scary movie. Oh, how correct I was. The creators of this movie overtly attempted to create something like an emotional roller coaster, making jokes to lighten an audience's spirit, then turning the main character into a demon-controlled, Satan spawning procreator. The creators obviously need a crash course in what's creepy and what looks like a badly told joke. Everything about this movie seemed overdone, and told a thousand times. I think the time's growing near for the "horror" film industry to In the year of 2013 there were two well-known songs by two well-known rappers. Both claimed that they were gods. The songs are Rap God by Eminem in his Marshal Mather's lp2 and the song I Am a God by Kanye West in his album Yeezus. But a large part of me thought that there can only be one God of rap. Who is the real rap god of the 21 century? I will admit that both songs are very good, with clever rhymes and awesome beats that really tie each song together. Both are very well thought out and produced. I can easily jam out to these songs, but Eminem song is 3 minutes longer than Kanye's, with two rap verses that are rapped so fast that you can barely understand. In Kanye's song he says "I just talked to Jesus he said what up Yeezus? I said #$%* I'm chillin tryna stack these millions." IF you talk to Jesus then you must be a big freaking deal honestly and he must have some god like quality within him, wouldn't you think? Or Kanye is a liar and actually hasn't talked to Jesus which could very well be a possibility. In Eminem's song he is very humble about things claiming "I am beginning to feel like a Rap God." He is saying that through all of his fame and accomplishments that he's beginning to feel like an important figure in the rap world. All Kanye wanted from this song was "Hurry up give me a damn massage." Yeezus, Kanye, calm down and wait an extra three minutes for your massage. You can't just claim yourself a god and then pretty much say hurry up with your busy life and rub my lower back and shoulders. Mind you these are all speculations from my point of view and I could be misinterpreting everything. So all in all I guess the title of true Rap God would be without a doubt goes too… One Direction. And by One Direction, I mean Eminem for the reasons that he has been around for almost two decades and truly has been an influential person to the rapping community. Adam Swarthout Staff Writer Ryan Fisher Soprts Editor Fight Goblins, defend your village and attack players from all around the world. These are just some of the things the iTunes App, Clash Of Clans, has to offer. The game is completely free to play besides the available in-app purchases that can be disabled. Supercell, the game developer, starts you out with 500 free gems which are of huge value in the Clash of Clans world. It takes you through a brief tutorial that really helps new players get a good grasp on the seemingly complicated format. At first the appearance is mind boggling, but it is easily comprehendible with time. The game allows you to battle against goblins in the Campaign section, which is a waste of time, or in against the entire world. The higher in trophies you get, which are earned by winning battles, the harder the bases get. Many players drop in trophies, or "farm", to attack easier villages. Clash of Clans starts out with upgrades that take 15 to 20 minutes. After you level up with achievements, the upgrade time gets much lengthier and sometimes becomes a burden. Of course, Supercell offers the in-apps purchase I talked about earlier that give you gems in exchange for real money. Who is the real god of rap? Bluffer Movie Week Ride Along- Ice Cube, Kevin Hart Lone Survivor- Mark Walhberg, Taylor Kitsch Jack Ryan- Keira Knightley, Chris Pine The Nut Job- Will Arnett, Kathrine Heigl I, Frankenstein- Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy A great time killer!!! to one of the shows, the band has a facebook page were they have been recently uploading recorded songs. If you have been to one of the bad arse BandMaster Ruckus shows, or heard their music somewhere online (Youtube or Facebook) the band has uploaded a song called Dark Room at bandmasterruckus. bandcamp.com. "We got the name from the [BandMaster] amp, Brad is the BandMaster, [me and Hansen] are the Ruckus." said Burns when I asked him where they came up with the name BandMaster Ruckus. "Songs start with jams, then we add lyrics," said Dufour. This gives their music a unique frequency. Not only do they care about the instrumentals, or the vocals, but the equilibrium of the two combining in a musical style free of imitation, and full of diverse elements. tell a new story. This film is very similar to most horror movies of late, offering a phony biblical perspective, filmed with a "home camera". (Cough, Paranormal Activity copycat, cough.) The filming perspective was actually rather headache forming. Every time the character holding the camera moved, the entire screen would jerk too quickly, causing audience members to turn their eyes away to prevent headaches, blinking quickly to escape the inevitable dizziness of sore eyes. I would recommend this movie to absolutely no one. Except for the occasional devil worshipper here and there, I'm sure you guys would applaud it. This movie's a waste of ten dollars and a waste of time. Even in Red Bluff I can think of approximately eleven things I could've done better with my oh so precious time and cash. Better luck next time for a scare, I suppose. Not worth your time or money With the news of an album soon to be released, I thought it a good idea to spread the word about local Red Bluff band, BandMaster Ruckus. BandMaster Ruckus is a three piece alternative-blues band, consisting of Brad Dufour,( vocalist/ bassist/ guitarist), Seth Burns, (guitarist/ bassist), and Tyler Hansen, (Drummer). All three members graduated from Red Bluff High School in 2011, and have known each other since childhood. "[We formed the band] last September, and have been seriously jammin' for about 60 weeks," said Hansen. BandMaster Ruckus plays around the north state, rocking joints with mad jamming skills, gathering money to fund the production of a debut album. When asked about when the album is being released, Hansen said, "Its a matter of time and money, but we are hoping within a few weeks." I personally can not wait for an album to be released.
