Allison is not actually dead, but somebody else's body is believed to The cast shot of 'Pretty Little Liars', the next episode airs next Tuesday, January 21 on ABC Family. be in the casket that she was "buried in". So whose body could it be? What will the next episode of 'Pretty Little Liars` reveal? This twist leaves people on the edge of their seats. Many thrive on the teenage thriller and some comments have been made on twitter regarding this week's episode, many said things along the line of, "Wow! What a twist, but very exciting!" But others remained negative Bluffer Staff Pick 'Dead Man' (1995) Molly Shea Staff Writer 'Dead Man,' as a whole, was slightly slow-paced. The movie overall was good but not great. The acting is decent but could have been done better. The scenes being separated by darkness for a few seconds allowed for very strong and cleverly done transitions to keep the audience interested. 'Dead Man' begins with a black screen and a quote from Henri Michaux that says, "It is preferable not to travel with a dead man." After the quote the plot begins to unfold in black and white with a man on a small, old fashioned train who looks very uncomfortable and is being glanced at and talked about by the other passengers. This movie has Johnny Depp as the main character playing William Blake. Blake is going to a small town called Machine to be an accountant for a Mr. Dickinson. Blake shows his letter and states that Dickensian had already hired him but he was hired two months ago and has been replaced. In a state of disbelief Blake leaves. His parents have recently died and now Blake is unable to function and broke because he spent the last of his money to get to Machine. Later that night he goes to a bar where he meets a young woman and walks her home. They are laying in bed when a man comes through the door. The man who walked in is the young woman's ex fiancé and he pulls out a gun and aims at Blake. When the shot is fired the next thing that is seen is that Blake has blood on his chest and the young woman is dead laying across his lap. Blake fires back and shoots the ex fiancé in the neck and rushes to gather his clothes and jump out of a window. A bounty is placed on Blake's head and he is on the run. Blake comes back to a state of conciseness with a large Indian man sitting on him using a knife to take out the bullet that was in his breastbone. With three well known killers on their track and wanted posters everywhere Blake and his Indian friend (who prefer to be called Nobody) are met with a new threat at every turn. The plot is laid out very well and the ending of the movie has an unsuspected twist that may leave you unhappy and wanting to know more. Holds attention, but slow and has dissapointing ending and were upset because of how long the series took to reveal such intriguing information. I find this show excitingly mysterious with huge twists that keep you watching. The show is filled with suspense, romance, and every day high school drama; I believe it's a great show to hook your attention on, especially for teenage girls. If you aren't caught up on recent 'Pretty Little Liar` episodes, you Good for a high school audience 'Lone Wolf' proves victorious Bailey Patchen Topics Editor Once in a great while a new movie comes out that is absolutely breath taking and leaves you speechless. Lone Survivor does just that. This American war film that is based on a true story and retells the mission of "Operation Red Wings." The mission of this operation was for four members of SEAL team 10 to capture or kill a notorious Taliban leader named Ahmad Shahd. Going into this task, the men were dropped off four hours away from the leader then had to hike the treacherous mountains of Afghanistan to reach their target. The team reaches the check point to take out the target; however, they realize that a different hillside will give them a better vantage point. They make their way to the hillside where they run into three shepherds. After voting on what they should do with the shepherds, the four men decide to let them go. However, these men go to the village and tell the leader where the Americans are. The Taliban then goes and finds the SEAL members. The four men are then attacked in the forest where they run into many obstacles and challenges to stay alive. This movie has many gruesome and heart wrenching scenes that keep you on the edge of your seat. It tells the brave and remarkable tales that these men went through. Director and Writer Peter Berg did an amazing job at telling the story of the three hour fight between the four SEAL members against the Taliban on the hillside in Afghanistan. The four SEAL members were played by Mark Walberg, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, and Ben Foster. I highly recommend this movie to absolutely everyone. This movie was a perfect portrayal of the hardships the four SEAL members went through. It was breathtaking and heartwarming. This is one of those movies that fills your heart with pride for our country and makes you truly realize what some of our soldiers endure during deployments. Great retelling of real story 'Saturday Night Live' still thrives Becca Blanchard Topics Editor The classic telivision show, 'Saturday Night Live' is supposedly in hot water. In reaction to critisism of lack of diversity, the show higherd three new african american women, two as writers and one new cast member. Still however, there is critisism about the lack of diversity, particularly of the female category. Since male cast member Fred Armisen left, the show no longer has any members of hispanic heritage on the show, nor does it have any cast members of asian descent. Thus more controverys is sturred about a show that is just as influential and representative of society as ever. People often scoff at whatever the show does, yet it continues to trend on the newest social media and it continues to bring joy to many peoples life. Here, however, I approach a fork in the road. I understand some of the complaints, diversity is important and neccisary. In fact the show should embrace it more in order to continue representing society as it does. I do not question this one bit. However, with the afforementioned statement, many a critic also says that the show is now a flop, they say the show is at the worst it has ever been. I have many disagreements with that. First off, for the show to be the worst it has ever been, it would have to be 1981. The show has brought in some fantastic hosts this season, thus showing that it is anything but a flop. Besides, viewers have been complaining that the current season has been worse than the original for ages. The Dan Aykroyd generation complains about the Dana Carvey generation. The Dana Carvey generation complains about the Adam Sandler generation and their generation complains about our generation. It is a tradition as old as time. I think it is important to know that SNL is not dead. Sure the Kardashians are at the height of their power, but America has overcome worse. So this Saturday, turn on your t.v and watch our culture played out, even if it's a rerun. Watch it and laugh, watch it with someone you care about, whatever you do: watch it. Saturday night live does something that most of the entertainment buisness now lacks: brutal honesty. The show takes risks, and though it may lack diversity now, it is changing and America should support it by tuning in and remembering that even when we feal like our voices are not heard, especially by our government, we are heard by this classic show that in many families has been watched every year (even the early 1980s) since the beginning. I truly stand by this show and believe that any controversial problems that come along can and will be overcome, just as america overcomes it's own problems. I should clarify that I still ean all of this even though SNL is technically my lifes goal… SNL hasn't lost its humor 815 S Main St Top Nails Need your nails done for Winter Formal?
