I want to thank God for the many blessings He has bestowed upon my family. On Wednesday, November 3, 2010 about 11:45pm, I received a call that our business, Ora Supermarket and Broad River Hams, was on fi re. As we arrived on the scene, we saw fi re trucks everywhere. Watching our family business of 70 years on fi re was especially hard. But, I want to say a special thank you to all the professional fi remen who fought the fi re and to all the fi re de- partments that backed them up. The City of Shelby and Cleveland County can be proud of all the fi re personnel who give so much of themselves to protect us and our property. Let me also say thank you to all of our employees, friends, church family, and our loy- al customers who have supported us during this time with your prayers and concern. Thanks to the City of Shelby Police, the Cleveland County Health Department, the NC Department of Agriculture, and so many more that are a part of a team who protect and serve this city and county.
