All we can do is take what has been revealed about him and place it together like pieces of a puzzle. We do know that God revealed himself through Jesus Christ. He was the personifi cation of God which means he was God shrouded in human fl esh. Jesus was one hundred percent God and yet one hundred percent man. God sent his Son into this world to reveal his love for the entire human race. When Jesus came to this earth as a baby, he became God's way of reconciling mankind to himself. He lived a sinless life as a man and then willingly died a cruel death on a Roman Cross. Jesus was God's love gift to mankind. Those who receive the gift of salvation have the privilege of being indwelt by the Holy Spirit. According to scripture, the Holy Spirit reveals God to us. He makes it possible for us to know God as our Abba Father. It is through God's Spirit that we learn of him and grow into his likeness. As his child, he gives us a desire to know him in a more personal way. As we learn of him, we can bear the fruit of his character, which is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, goodness, kindness, faith, gentleness and temperance. Even though our fi nite mind cannot comprehend God's majesty and all of his divine attributes, he has promised that if we draw close to him that he will draw near to us. The greatest pursuit of any man, woman or child is to know God.
