Jacob Fork Access Join Park staff for an evening program on moths. Lights and equipment will be set up to attract the evening insects. Lior Carlson of Backyard Butterfl ies will provide a 30-minute educational program before the mothing begins. Meet at the Picnic Shelter in the Jacob Fork Parking Lot. Program will begin at 8pm and mothing will conclude at 11pm. Thursday, August 17, 6-7:30pm, Canoe with a Ranger ClearCreek Access Join a Park Ranger for a paddle around the Clear Creek Reservoir. We'll learn about the area's natural and cul- tural history in a scenic setting. See the park from a different angle – from a boat! No experience necessary. PFDs, paddles, and boats are provided. Children under 13 must paddle with an adult 18 years or older. Space is limited and registration is required. Call 828-433-4772 or email south.mountains@ncparks.gov to register.
