In each episode (there are almost 100 episodes in total), the celebrity chef trav- eled to a failing restaurant and promptly critiqued every aspect of the business (and often the owners themselves) in hopes of turning things around for every- one involved. Since the show went off the air, Ramsay has continued to find success with multiple other Fox cooking shows, including "MasterChef" and the recently launched "Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars." But it wasn't poor ratings that did in "Kitchen Nightmares" — it was Ramsay himself, or rather the reaction he was getting from some of his (often-harsh) on-screen com- ments, as well as criticism that featured eateries struggled after he left. It turns out that's not it: Ram- say is bringing back "Kitchen Nightmares" for another season, which will be produced by his Studio Ramsay television pro- duction company. The return of the former reali- ty staple was announced during Fox's upfront presentation, which saw the network doing away with a splashy fall sched- ule reveal for a second year in a row. Instead, the network opted to simply unveil its 2023-24 pro- gramming slate — the full list of scripted and unscripted content we can expect to see on our screens at some point next fall and/or winter. Nobody's Peabody: The first in-person Peabody Awards cere- mony since 2019 won't be held after all. In the wake of the WGA strike, the organization behind the Pea- body Awards — the awards honoring "excellence in story- telling that reflects the social is- sues and the emerging voices of our day" — has opted to scrap the event altogether. The ceremony has been can- celed, but 35 winners have al- ready been selected by the Pea- body Awards Board of Jurors.
