PASTA SALAD Melba Smith 1 (8 oz.) box spaghetti cooked, drained, and broken into small pieces 2 tomatoes, diced 2 green peppers, diced 2 onions, died 1 large cucumber, diced 1 c. Parmesan cheese 1 Tbsp. poppy seed 1 (8 oz.) bottle Viva Italian dressing Mix and refrigerate overnight. MEXICAN DISH Bernice Posey FILLING 1 ½ lb. ground beef 1 can tomatoes, drained, save some juice ½ x. onion ½ c. green pepper 1 can kidney beans, drained 2 tsp. chili powder 1 Tbsp. Worcester sauce Salt to taste TOPPING 1 ¼ C. Self-rising cornmeal 1 egg ¾ cup milk Bell pepper, cut fine FILLING. Combine tomato juice and enough flour to make a paste. Mix with filling ingredients. TOPPING Mix cornmeal, egg, milk, and bell pepper. Bake at 350 de- grees until brown. CHINESE DELIGHT Bernice Posey 4 chicken breasts 1 can cream of mushroom soup ½ can canned milk 1 box Stove Top dressing Boil chicken until done, then take off bone and chop. Add soup and milk. Put in cas- serole dish; add dressing on top after following directions from box. Bake in 350 degrees oven for 30 minutes. GUY'S SUGARLESS CAKE Cora Lee Short 1 can pineapple ½ cup orange juice ½ raisins ½ cup margarine 2 eggs, beaten 2 cups flour 1 tsp. baking powder 2 TBS. Sweet N Low sweet- eners 1 tsp. vanilla Mix and bake at 325 degrees about an hour or until brown in a tube pan. FROZEN ICE CREAM DESSERT Vergie Milstead ½ gallon vanilla or choco- late ice cream 1 large carton Cool Whip 40 chocolate Oreo cookies Crush cookie until very fine. Let ice cream soften. Mix all ingredients together, stirring well. Pour into large oblong Pyrex dish. Freeze until hard. Choose From.
