In addition to his father he is survived by two sons, Derrick Callahan and wife, Melissa of Mooresboro and Chris Callahan and fiancée Tamara Novia of Virginia; sister, Tonie Turner and husband, Max Jr of Shelby; four grandchildren; and one great grandson.
