Titans rally to beat previously unbeaten Southridge 24-14 By Andy Heuring Star-Times Sports sports@sgstartimes.com Gibson Southern for the second week in a row came from behind to win. On Fri- day they trailed 14-7 midway through the third quarter to undefeated Southridge before scoring 17 unanswered points to pick up their fifth win of the season, 24-14. "They did a great job of find- ing a way to win. We struggled up front on both sides of the ball in the first half. I take my hat off to Southridge for how they played, but I thought we played a lot better in the sec- ond half," said Titan Coach Nick Hart. It was another gritty win for the Titans, playing without starting quarterback Tanner Boyd, who sat out the game with a nagging injur y left over from the South Warren game last week. Sophomore Liam Br yant stepped in and pro- duced solid numbers for the Titans as he was a tidy 13-of-18 for 121 yards, which included the game-winning touchdown See GOLF on page 2 See STATS on page 5 See TITAN on page 5 See R ALLY on page 5 Gibson Southern defenders Brody Klem (54) and Beau Rose (13) tackle a Southridge ball carrier during their game Friday night.
