Pike Central Middle School seventh grader Cooper Hartke is advancing and was named a Regional Qualifier for the Scripts National Spelling Bee that will take place on March 5. Bub Partain and Meekah Hatfield play cornhole during "Friendly Friday." Mrs. Kim Nalley coordinates with Mrs. Gulledge and invites several sixth grade students to visit her classroom during home- room on Fridays. Ella Furman and Jasmine Austin play UNO during "Friendly Friday." This is a weekly opportunity to create new friendships with peers. It is also an opportunity to mod- el what it is to be a good friend. Nate Deffendoll was the school runner up and Austin Vaughn was the school Spelling Bee win- ner.
