Sullivan, 44, of Cuzco, passed away at 7:11 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Jasper on December 20, 1976, to Rich- ard and Peggy (Padgett) Fos- ter. She married Bob Sullivan on October 3, 1997. She was a graduate of Pike Central High School and then earned her Associate's Degree in Nurs- ing from VUJC. She worked at Springs Val- ley Meadows in French Lick and then for Good Samari- tan Nursing Center in Oak- land City. She enjoyed mak- ing Tumblers, spending time at the beach, motorcycle and Jeep riding, and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her husband, Bob Sullivan, of Cuzco; two daughters, Courtney Sulli- van and Haley ( John) Pinn- ick, both of Cuzco; two step- daughters, Whitney ( James) Strange, of Ferdinand, and Amber (Aiden) Hart, of Indi- ana; five grandchildren; her father, Richard (Bobbie) Fos- ter, of Washington; her ma- ternal grandmother, Marilyn Padgett, of Otwell; and three brothers, Joe Moore, of Mitch- ell, Shaun ( Jamie) Foster, of Cuzco, and Tom (Kelly) Fos- ter, of Princeton. Preceding her in death are her mother, Peggy Foster; one grandson, Kellen Sullivan; pa- ternal grandparents, James and Delores Foster; her ma- ternal grandfather, Richard Padgett; and her father and mother-in-law, Billy, Sr. and Rita Sullivan. A celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the Be- cher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, with Pastor Scott Badger officiating. Burial will follow in Cuzco Cemetery in Cuzco. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. LARIT TIA ANN "RITA" BATES Larittia Ann "Rita" Bates, 77, of Oakland City, entered rest on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021, at her home. She was born On Sept. 27, 1944, in Olympia, Wash., to Burtis and Lenora (Hyslop) Evans. Most people would know our mom from the years spent bartending at Wright Place, Taylors and Free Bird Tavern in Oakland City. She also was head of housekeep- ing at the Hampton Inn at Jas- per, where she enjoyed work- ing and took a lot of pride. She loved her family very much and was affectionately called "Nenaw" by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Wade Bates, of Winslow; her chil- dren, Nikki Buck, Eddie( Butch) Alka and Julie (Steve) Smith; and stepson, Seth Bates; step-daughter, Billie Jo (Chris) Ivie; brother, Jim (Linda) Evans, of Otwell; grandchildren, Emily Smith, Rashell Alka, Kennedy Wil- lis, Darian Wilson, Tyler Al- ka, Cody Summers, Cody (fi- ancé Kenzie Sullivan) Smith, Alisha Alka and Jared ( Vanes- sa) Simmons; great-grandchil- dren, Jack Wilson, Myles Bur- ton, Ella Smith, Asher Doern- er, Marlee Persinger, Sophia Summers, Kash Miller, Calie Alka, Piper Simmons, Lexi Oswalt and Taylor Oswalt. Wiscaver, 94, formerly of Otwell, passed away November 1, 2021, at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg. She was born the only child of Andrew and Thelma Mar- garie (Nolley) Morton on Oc- tober 8, 1927, in Washington. She graduated from Wash- ington High School in 1945 and worked many years for Jasper Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Peters- burg First United Methodist Church. She married Leroy Wiscaver on January 28, 1966. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie (Terry) Braun, of Petersburg; son, James Ritterskamp II, of Geor- gia; grandchildren, Jamie Go- ins, Andrew (MySha) Ritter- skamp, Mandy (Kyle) Adams and Tyler (Deidra) Braun; and great-grandchildren, Cam- ryn and Callie Goins, Layla and Ashlyn Ritterskamp, El- la, Amelia and Wesley Adams, and Landry and Zoey Braun, with one on the way; step- sons, Robert (Carolyn) Wis- caver and Charles Wiscaver, of Florida; and stepdaughter, Sonja (Doyan) Riley, of Wash- ington, and their families. He was born February 2, 1942, in Princeton to Ray and Geneva (Koerner) Ward. He was a graduate of PHS Class of 1960. He did construc- tion work and concrete finish- ing for several years. He had formerly worked at Richard- son Lumber Company and more recently for the DNR at the Sugar Ridge Fish and Wildlife Area in Winslow. He had previously served on the Oakland City Council. He en- joyed hunting, fishing and jig- saw puzzles. He is survived by his wife, Dee (Marshall) Ward, to whom he was married in Feb- ruary 2003; children, Robert ( Jackie) Ward, of Lynnville, Donella (Dennis) Tepe, of Oakland City and Tim (Con- nie) Ward, of Winslow; nine grandchildren; and sister, Connie Schuh, of California. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Judy Whitehouse and Bonnie Sat- terfield; and brothers, Bill and Bob Ward. White Hospice House in Evansville. She was born to the late Jo- seph and Mary (Orth) Schap- ker on Nov. 28, 1945, in Evans- ville. She is survived by her two, children, Debra McCoy, of Princeton, and Tony (Kar- ol) Hasselbrinck, of Peters- burg; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a broth- er, Jerome Schapker, of Evans- ville. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leland John Hasselbrinck, in January of 1993; son, John Hasselbrinck; grandchild, Cody Leland Mc- Coy; and brothers, Anthony and Joseph Schapker. RONALD ALLEN WILLIAMS Ronald Allen Williams, 63, of Petersburg, passed away November 3, 2021, at his res- idence. He was born February 18, 1958, in Huntingburg, to Wil- liam and Velma (Rutter) Wil- liams. He is survived by his wife, Diane Williams; sons, Mi- chael and Adam Williams; daughters, Julie Williams, An- gel Sims, Misty Whitney and Tara DeWitt; 23 grandchil- dren; nine great-grandchil- dren; and brothers, John and Eddie Williams. She was born on Dec. 30, 1924, in Danville, Ill., to Wil- liam Elmer and Nora Mae (Bogue) Arnold. She had worked at Plastic Plant and IGA Grocery Store in Oakland City. She was a member of First General Baptist Church in Oakland City. She is survived by her chil- dren, Will "Rip" Hoskins, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Terry Hoskins, of Oakland City, To- ny "Paul" Hoskins, of Evans- ville, Susan Willis, of Oakland City, Katie "Cricket" Hyatt, of Princeton, Jackie Stephens, of Oakland City, and Chuck Hoskins, Ft. Wayne; 16 grand- children; 27 great-grandchil- dren; one great-great-grand- child; and a sister, Barbara Davis, of Boonville. Born to Harold and Geneva Winland on January 21, 1928, she married James Bailey on January 10, 1948. She enjoyed sewing, flow- ers, gardening, birds, cross- word puzzles and watching her favorite game shows. She was a lifelong member of Spurgeon United Methodist Church. She is survived by her chil- dren, Mike (Nancy) Bailey, Frank (Glenda) Bailey, Mark ( Jo Ellen) Bailey, Dixie Al- dridge, Connie Walker, Jenny ( Jim) Peifer and Katrina Bai- ley; nine grandchildren; nu- merous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchil- dren; and sisters, Judy Hen- ning and Janice Copeland. K ATHLEEN LEE PERRY Kathleen "Kathy" Lee Perry, 65, of Petersburg, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at her home in Petersburg, with her family by her side. She was born July 25, 1956, in Springfield, Ill., to the late Howard Teeters and Evaline (Poff ) Teeters. She worked as head accoun- tant for 13 years at Raben Tire in Evansville. She graduated as a CPA from Ivy Tech and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Princ- eton. She enjoyed making quilts and was a master in the art of conversation. One of her most priceless joys in life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved working in her garden. She also enjoyed collecting ba- by dolls, salt and pepper shak- ers, and roosters, which start- ed in her kitchen, but ended up throughout the entire home. She was dearly loved and will be missed. She is survived by her life mate of 34 years; her sons, John (Kimmi) Perry, of Princeton, and Ryan (Britta- ny) Perry, of Princeton; sev- en grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, Zavier Russell, Landon Perry, Jaiden Perry, and Jaxon Abell. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Shad Michael Lee; and broth- ers, James "Jim" Teeter and Howard "Mike" Teeter. "BILL" CROW SR. Gerald W. "Bill" Crow, Sr., 79, of Petersburg, entered rest on Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg. He was born on July 16, 1942, in Mt. Vernon, to Jes- se Jack and Lillian (Robison) Crow, both of whom preceded him in death. He attended many different schools as a youth because his father traveled frequently for career purposes. He enlisted in the Army on February 17, 1960, and served in the 543rd Ordinance Company APO 169, stationed in Germany. He married Yvonnie Ann Wil- lis on December 23, 1961, in Gallatin County, Ill., with Rev. John Hunt officiating. He was a hard worker and anybody who knew him was aware of his work ethic and kindness when it came to help- ing someone in need or simply doing a favor for a neighbor, without expecting anything in return. In his later years, he thoroughly enjoyed attending his grandchildren's events. Even if he did not feel well, he would still find a way to attend. He retired from Vigo Coal in 2007, after spending 33 years working in the coal indus- try. He served as a 4-H lead- er for many years, and was a member of the Timeless Clas- sics Car Club in Petersburg, a skilled wood craftsman and mechanic. He also enjoyed being outside, and loved re- storing and working on cars (especially his 1957 Ford Fair- lane) and tractors, working in the garden, drinking coffee with his friends every Mon- day morning after his retire- ment and attended the Peters- burg Church of The Nazarene. His smile and kindness will be greatly missed by his fami- ly and friends. He is survived by his wife, Ann; three children, Debbie ( Wayne) Walter, Gerry ( Julie) Crow and Tim (Christy) Crow; five grandchildren, Nick ( Jen) Adams, Waylon (Amber) Wal- ters, Emma (Landon) Lill- mars, Elliott Crow and Bec- ca Crow; two great-grandchil- dren, Kristi Adams and Av- ery Adams; a brother, Jack (Allison) Crow; sisters, Julie Schneider and Jill Stevens; brothers-in-law, Greg (Lisa) Willis and Denzil Sturgeon; sisters-in-law, Pat Willis and Peg Willis; many nieces, neph- ews and cousins. LINDA MADONNA LYNXWILER Linda Madonna (Hamm) Lynxwiler, 68, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, Novem- ber 7, 2021, at Deaconess Mid- town Hospital. She was born in Washing- ton on January 28, 1953, to the late Melvin "Bud" and Velma ( Jerrell) Hamm. She had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others. She enjoyed being outdoors, doing yard work and taking care of her flow- ers. She was an active mem- ber of the River Bend Associ- ation. She had a lovely, outgo- ing personality. She never met a stranger. She had a passion for Native American decor. She adored her dog, Hank, who was always at her side. Above all, she loved her fami- ly and friends dearly. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son, Jarod Willis, of Petersburg; stepson, John Lynxwiler, of Evansville; sister, Carolyn Listner, of Petersburg; broth- er, Randy (Karla) Hamm, of Petersburg; niece, Stacy (Kev- in) Huelsman, of Jasper; and best friend of 45 years, Mag- gie (Mike) Phipps, of Mount Vernon. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 24 years, Vincent Kent Lynxwil- er; and by her parents.
