Wednesday, Nov. 3: Barbecue sandwich, baked beans, cheesy po- tato bake, carrot sticks, grapes and milk. Thursday, Nov. 4: Bo- sco stick, fresh veggies, fruit cocktail, Teddy Gra- hams, yogurt and milk. Friday, Nov. 5: Chick- en tenders, potato smiles, California blend with cheese, orange slices and milk. Monday, Nov. 8: Hot Dog, Mac and Cheese, Baked Beans, Carrot Sticks, Strawberries and Milk. Tuesday, Nov. 9: Baked spaghetti, Romaine salad, grape tomatoes, garlic toast, peaches and milk. These three second graders got in the spirit for Red Ribbon Week all wearing their flannel shirts for "Check Yourself, Don't Fall into Drugs." Pictured are Kash Krug, Harry Ellis and Taylor Deal. Owensville sixth grader sported workout clothes to "run away from drugs" during Red Ribbon Week. These sixth grade Kickapoos are showing their strength against drugs during OCS's Red Ribbon Celebration. Mrs. Whitten chose Macie Kern as our Pre- K student of the week. Macie has worked hard to complete many new tasks independently within our classroom while facing adversity. She continues to want to try new things and brings a spark to our classroom that is pure joy and delight! Her smile is contagious! Mrs. Koester chose Brinley Miller as our third grade student of the week. Brinley is a sweet girl and a hard worker. She is always prepared for class and is a pleasure to work with. Keep up the great work, Brinley! Mrs. Spindler chose Kooper Wilson as our seventh grade student of the week. Kooper is one of the top students in computer class this year. He is always will- ing to help others and completes his work with great effort. He is very computer savvy! Excel- lent work, Kooper! Allie Deal, Leighton Burkett, Emma Forcum and Gwen Higginbotham try to fig- ure out the scavenger hunt challenge for Red Ribbon Week. Wyatt Steussel, Traise Blythe, and Christian Wright make their way of around the school during the scav- enger hunt. Seventh grade boys are working hard to fig- ure out the answers to the scavenger hunt! The kids had a blast! The school organize mini ac- tivities for the kids for them to recognize the importance of saying no to drugs! Warren's mom read a story to the class, and Warren shared one of his favor- ite toys. During Red Ribbon Week we had pajama day because students are "tired of drugs." Harper's mom and dad came in to join the celebration. They brought in a yum- my treat for the class.
