Joe was born Wednesday, September 8, 1943 in Rutherford County to the late Dewey S. Hamrick and Louise Padgett Hamrick. Mr. Hamrick served our country in the U.S. Air Force and was a vet- eran of the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, Burt and Britt Hamrick. Those left to cherish his memory include his two daughters, Joy Lancaster of Rutherfordton and Cathy Hamrick of Marion; sister, Beulah Fite of Ellenboro; two granddaughters; a great- grandson.
