The Press-Dispatch Wednesday, March 10, 2021 A-9 items: 812-354-8500 schoolnews@pressdispatch.net Petersburg Pike Central Middle School The Dubois–Pike Federal Credit Union delivered a tote full of supplies from their school supply drive that was held in October. The supply drive was a success and they were able to supply a tote to each school in Dubois and Pike County. Michala Flamion and Lisa Meyer, with the Dubois Pike FCU, delivered the items on Friday, accept- ing the items for Pike Central Middle School were Adelaida Ferreira, Baylie Rainey, Sheridan Fulk, Jayden Bolin, Mason Gosciniak and Andrew Barrett. Alyssa McCutchan, Jacob Harker, Elle Readle and Julian Hay show off their "Cracking the Classroom Code: Pirate Edition" proj- ects. Mrs. Julie West's sixth and seventh period Advanced Math classes have been working on a Dig- ital Escape Room entitled: "Cracking the Classroom Code: Pirate Edition." Pictured are: Trinity LeMond, Jessa Ridao, Joshua Harker, Carson Wiscaver, Karly Gideon, Kylie Meyer and Deacon Jenkins (Pirate Face). Winslow Elementary School The Science Bowl team placed 14th in the state in their online competition. They were only three points from being in the top 10. Members are: Sam McConnell, Jace Farmer, Jaron Woolsey, Bryce Corbin, Nate Deffen- doll, Sylvie McDivitt, Kylee Nielsen, Claire Neal, Taylin Bailey and Braelyn Barnett. Member Kaydee Sims is not pictured. Participating in the individual round were Jaron Woolsey, Sam McConnell, Braelyn Barnett and Claire Neal. Kindergartener Hazeley Travis works on her sub- traction and plays subtraction smash. Eli Woolsey and Piper Thompson show off their hats on hat day during "Read Across America Week." Fifth grader Vivien Frasure uses hand sanitizer on the way down the hall. Colton Vest is working hard at his desk in Mrs. King's classroom.
