He was born in Grover, NC on May 22nd, 1943 to Lee and Lizzie Bowen, who preceded his death along with his siblings, Bob, Kenneth, Robert, and Ronnie Bowen, and Ethel Looman. He is survived by his lov- ing wife of 47 years, Linda Bowen; his only daughter Pam (Gene) Mauney; his oldest son Rodney Bowen (Lois); his middle son, Michael (Christi) Bowen and his youngest son, John (Krystal) Bowen; his broth- ers, David and Ricky Bowen; his sisters, Betty Lou Wright, Brenda Whitworth, Janice Carter and Becky (Bob) Dover; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren with one expected; and two great-great-grandchildren with one expected. Due to the circumstances, the family has chosen to have a Private Celebration of Life Service at a later date. RUBY FAYE FORTENBERRY KIDD Shelby - Ruby Faye Fortenberry Kidd, 86, went peacefully to her heavenly home on Friday, October 9, 2020 while surrounded by husband Herb Hutchinson, and son Randy Hutchinson. JOAN CORNWELL JOHNSON Joan Cornwell Johnson, 74, of Lawndale, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 at her home. Born in Cleveland County, on May 9, 1946, she was the daughter of a late Robert Alton Cornwell and Earleen Hoover Cornwell. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Paul Lester Johnson and a son, Gary Johnson. She is survived by her loving son, Greg Johnson who also lived and took care of Joan; daugh- ter, Paula Bumgardner of Golden Valley; brother, Rick Cornwell of Lawndale; sister, Gail Johnson of Pittsburgh PN; two grand- children Jordan Spangler and Jamie Shannon and two great-grandchildren, Jace Spangler and Marla Shannon. A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Sherrill officiating. FRANCES LULA QUEEN CHURCH Frances Lula Queen Church, age 95, passed away on October 11, 2020. She was born in Shelby, North Carolina, March 14, 1925. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Columbus "Sam" Church, to whom she was married for 58 years; and by her par- ents, H.C. and Carrie Queen of Shelby. She is survived by a son, Jerry Church and wife, Diane of Tennessee.; two daughters, both of Shelby, Patsy McEntyre and husband, Jimmy and Brenda Harrison and hus- band, Larry; six grandchil- dren: Dana Hobbs, Lisa Cantrell, Jeffrey McEntyre, Jessica Champion, Kimberly Pearson, Elaine Estep and Brad Pearson; six great grandchildren, Dwayne Hobbs, Justin McEntyre, Kaetryn Carpenter, Addison Champion, Grace Pearson, Raegan Pearson, and Tye Clay; and two great-great grandchildren. DONNA HITE HUTCHINSON Donna Hite Hutchinson, age 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 11, 2020 at her residence. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Maggie Hutchinson; a granddaugh- ter, Tiffani and husband Kyle Kelly of Nashville, TN; a grandson, Tony and Alix Hutchinson of Shelby, NC and four great grandchildren, Lillian Hutchinson, Addison Hubbard, Kade Kelly, and Eleanor Hutchinson. Donna was born in Cabell County, West Virginia on March 14, 1932 to the late Forrest M. Hite and Helen Shafer Hite. She was also preceded in death by her BARBARA SUE HAWKINS REYNOLDS Barbara Sue Hawkins Reynolds, age 78, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2020 at home surround- ed by her family. Born in Cleveland County on September 11, 1942 she was the daughter of Willie Belle Deaton Hawkins and the late James William Hawkins. In addition to her father she is also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Alan Reynold; her brother, Richard Dale Hawkins and her brothers-in-law, Lyle Wayne Reynolds and Reece McDonald Burris. Barbara is survived by her son and daughter, Scott Alan Reynolds and wife Lori Ann Ledford Reynolds, Julie Suzanne Reynolds McMurry and husband Sidney Todd McMurry; her granddaughters, Chelsey Marie McMurry Skinner and husband Joshua Scott Skinner, Brittany Suzanne McMurry and great grand- son, Oliver Reid Skinner and great granddaughter, Ruby Cate Skinner; her brother, James Roger Hawkins and wife Sylvia Hawkins; sis- ters Diane Hawkins Sarratt and husband Dan, Carol Hawkins and husband Lynn Dean; brother-in-law Dale Reynolds and wife Jane, sisters-in-law Cordelia Jane Reynolds, Dorothy Henderson Reynolds, Phylis Reynolds Cooper and hus- band Gary.
