I knew tomorrow would be a busy day as I went to bed that night. It was one of those "I'd better sleep fast" nights because my schedule was overfl owing for the next day. In fact, as I thought about it, I knew the whole week would be that way. So the next morning, I packed a lunch, knowing that I wouldn't have time to eat out with anyone and would have to work straight through just to get a good jump on things. My wife had made her delicious chicken salad so I made a sandwich out of it and packed it along with a slice of apple pie. Our younger daughter walked up and said, "Daddy, do you want me to get you a bag?" I said, "Sure, sweetie, and thanks." When I opened my bag to eat lunch, I reached in, thinking I was getting a sandwich, and pulled out a note instead, in my daughter's handwriting. It read, "Dear Daddy, Don't work too hard today. I love you!" The really cool thing about this is when she was younger, I packed her lunch bags and always included little love notes. What you give, you really do get back, don't you? I've kept that note on my desk now for a lot of years to remind me to Live Positive and make a life worth living. Gotten a note lately?
