Robertson Beam, age 90, died on Friday, September 25, 2020, at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Datus "D" and Mary Myrtle Hicks Robertson; her brother and sister-in-law Charles Durham Robertson (Dorothy Fortenberry); and her hus- band, Zeb Egland Beam, Jr. Left to honor the memory of Mary D. are two sons: Zeb Beam III (Sherri) and their children and spouses Morgan McCraw (Chris) and Zeb IV "Zee" (Lindsey) Beam; and Hicks Beam (Jan) and their children Amanda Davis (Brad), Mary Hamrick (Ben), Rhianda Smith (Eddie Torres), and Carmen Lawson (Blake). Also, to her delight are five great-grandchildren, Gunnar Beam McCraw, Dalton Christopher McCraw, John Hicks Davis, Hayley Jean Davis, and Henry Wright Hamrick. A service and celebration of life was held at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Shelby, with Dr. Bulo Ervin Price III and Rev. JAMES EDWARD IVESTER Shelby - James Edward Ivester, 78, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 after a long illness. He was born January 16, 1942. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Clarence Ivester and Ola Chapman Ivester; sisters, Paulene Davidson, Mary Lou Dale and Minnie Mae Levan; and brother, Clarence Ivester. James is survived by his wife, Ruth S Ivester; step- son, Gene Willis and Alice Willis; step-daughter, Tammy Melton and Jimmy Melton; sister, Ilese Reep; and numer- ous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. KAVERMAN Robert G. Kaverman passed away peacefully on June 17, 2020, at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte, FL, with family at his side. He was born July 16, 1928, in Erie, PA, to Martin and Anna Kaverman. Bob served our country in the U.S. Services in the Korean War Theater. He is survived by his sons: Robert M. (and Carla) Kaverman, Patrick (and Josie) Clucas and Jack J, (and Jeannie) Clucas; his daughter, Karen Kulig; his brother, Donald (and Mabelle) Kaverman; seven grandchil- dren; 18 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchil- dren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his sister, Lilian Seth of Erie, PA; his first wife, Alice Vogel- Kaverman; and his second wife Ann-Clucas Kaverman. JO CARMEN PATTON SARAZEN Jo Carmen Patton Sarazen of Shelby passed away September 27, 2020. Born September 13, 1926 in McMinnville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Raleigh Miller Patton and Dolly Mae Seamons Patton. In addition to her parents, Jo was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dr. Paul Sarazen, Jr.; her broth- ers, Don and John Patton; and her sister, Wanda Reese. Jo is survived by her broth- er Jim Patton and his wife Koy; four children: Paul Mark Sarazen III and wife Libby of Lattimore, NC, Jo Sarazen Martin and husband Mike of Greer, SC, Laura Sarazen and husband, Wayne Hyland of Summerland Key, FL, Raleigh Sarazen of Birmingham, AL; four grandchildren: Paul Sarazen IV and wife Amy; Elizabeth Sarazen Rhodes and husband Dan; Sarah Martin Hughes; Raleigh Sarazen, Jr.; and eight great- grandchildren: Kai, Melia, and Brycen Sarazen; Rachel and Julia Rhodes; Emma and Sean Simmons and Aleyna Hughes. EDDIE TRUITT BLANTON Shelby - Eddie Truitt Blanton, 74, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Atrium Healthcare - Cleveland. A native of Cleveland County, he was born to the late Jonie Garrison Blanton and Mattie Lee Blanton. He is also predeceased by one brother, Tommy Blanton. Eddie leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 50 years, Iva Blanton of the home; four children, John Glasbrooks (Bernice), Amanda Melton (Brian), Melinda McDaniel (John) and David Davis; eleven grandchildren, Ashley Wray (Adam), Michael Glasbrooks (Jessica), Bryan Melton (Jalexus), Caitlin Melton (Jeremy), Ryan Melton, Ethan Melton, Jacob McDaniel, Kristen Inman (Eric), Zackary Blanton (Theresa), Matthew McDaniel (Lauren) and Abby McDaniel; twelve great- grandchildren; one sister, Jo Walker (Tommy). ROGER BLAIR RANDOLPH Roger Blair Randolph born January 5, 1948, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 in Atrium Healthcare Charlotte. He was the son of the late Willie and Carrie Randolph. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Willie Jr., Mildred, Nat, Ellen, Joe, Ann and Perry. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Randolph of Vero Beach, FL; grandchil- dren, Terrelle Hollis, Lateisha Randolph, Darius Randolph and Kenya Quitman; great- ANGELA JANE CHILDERS RUFF Angela Jane Childers Ruff, 61, of Grover, passed away Friday, September 25th, 2020, at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum. Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late John Childers and Margie Painter Childers. Mrs. Ruff is survived by three sons, Kenneth Green, Jerry Childers, and Joshua Childers; one daughter, Christina Hardin; two broth- ers, Joe Childers (Pam) and Steve Childers; one sister, Robin Brandt; one step- brother, Chris; two step- sisters, Sarah King and Kandi Ramsey; and grand- children, Brair and Wyatt Childers, Samantha, Chloe, and Thomas Hardin, Hannah Childers, and Alexis White. The family will be at their respective residences. MILDRED HUMPHRIES McELORY WILLIAMS Mildred Humphries McElory Williams, passed away to her Heavenly Father, September 4th, 2020. She was a native of Cleveland County and a former member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother Essie F. Grigg Humphries and her father Thomas Humphries; brother, Don Humphries; sister, Helen Bowman; son, Mike McElroy; and daughter, Teresa McElroy. Mildred leaves behind her son, Bobby McElroy and Sue McElroy, also her daughter, Gail Behler and Jerry Behler, as well as a host of grandkids and great grandkids. CARLA GREENE The world lost a good soul Monday morning, Sept 28th. After a 16 year battle with brain cancer, Carla Greene gave up the fight and went home to Heaven. ROBERT EDWARD "BOB" BUCHANAN Robert Edward "Bob" Buchanan, 80, of Shelby, passed away on Sunday September 27, 2020 at home following a long illness. Born in Mitchell County on September 27, 1940, he was a son of the late Clarence Buchanan and Ethel Thomas Buchanan. Mr. Buchanan served our country in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserve during the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm. He is preceded in death by his parents and six sib- lings, Bert, Calvin and Harold Buchanan, Dorothy Trivette, Genevieve Holder and Velva Lou Franklin. He is survived by his wife, Martha Horton Buchanan; his son, Bruce Robert Buchanan and wife, Amy, of Greensboro; one grandson, Jackson Robert Buchanan; and numerous loved nieces, nephews and in-laws. TEODORO "TEE" SARINANA Lawndale - Teodoro "Tee" Sarinana, 84, fell asleep in his eternal rest on Monday, September 28, 2020 at his residence. Born in Durango, Mexico on November 9, 1935, he was the son of the late Cruz Sarinana and Mary Luz Poilteir Esperaza. Survivors include his wife, Jane Sarinana; a daughter, Carmella Marie Sarinana; a stepdaughter, Kaylin Hudson; a stepson, Tommy Hudson and special grand- kids were Adrian, Elijah and Kayleigh Watson; a son, TJ from Michigan, plus a host of other children from all over the United States and Mexico.
