Augusta Broadway Street Winslow Pastor 812-582-0756 Sunday morning worship at 10 :15 a.m.; Cross Fit youth group at 6 p.m. on Sunday evening. We are having services but we are practicing social dis- tance. "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, gentleness, and self control" (Galatians 5: 22-23). We should seek to produce the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. Or to put it more accu- rately, we should allow the Holy Spirit to produce His fruit in our lives. You say, "I am powerless to produce such fruit. You don't know how weak and self centered I am. It would be utterly im- possible for me to do so." With that, most agree. That is, we can't produce this fruit in our own strength. When the Spirit of God dwells in us and has control of our lives, He will produce that fruit. Our responsibility is to cul- tivate the soil of our hearts through sincere devotion and surrender, so He might find favorable ground to pro- duce His fruit. If at any time you have no church to attend, your pres- ence will be greatly appreci- ated and I am sure you will leave feeling blessed. Jerry "Tuffy" Blackwell, Pastor Sharon Kendall, Reporter ARTHUR G.B. CHURCH 5670 S. St. Rd. 61 Winslow 812-582-0354 Sunday morning worship at 10 :30 a.m. There will be no Sunday school or Sunday night ser- vice until further notice. We hope to be back soon. Business meeting will be the third Sunday of the month, following morning worship. "Cast your burden upon the Lord and he will sus- tain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken" (Psalm 55:22). We all have different ways of dealing with worry. Some internalize it, others call a friend, and still others find a way to take their minds off it. When we bring our worries to the Lord and lay our anx- ious hearts bare before him, he will encourage us, lift us up and sustain us. He will not allow us to be shaken or weakened by worry because he holds us through every situation. "Thank you Lord, that you don't want us to carry our anxiety alone. Our future is secure in your hands, and all we have to do is rest in you"—Amen. Don't forget to pray for our loved ones who are ill, our church, our country and our leaders. We invite you to worship with us. Ralph Newkirk, Pastor Marla Morrison, Reporter AYRSHIRE VALLEY G.B. CHURCH 1947 E. Co. Rd. 375 S. Frank Renner, Pastor Rev. Mark Wade, Deacon FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH 1400 E. Main Street Petersburg 812-354-6775 Regular services: Sunday school 9:30 a.m. and worship service at 10 :30 a.m. Reflections of Psalm 8 What is the first thing that comes out of your mouth on a daily basis? I have been think- ing about this for a while now. I don't want to get stuck down a prosperity gospel rabbit hole, but I believe the first things we think about, reflect on, and speak in the morning will guide and determine our day. If the first thing out of our mouth is how horrible today will be, then today may be horrible. If the first thing we think about is the sin in our heart, we will spend the day captive by sin, instead of taking every thought captive. I love the Psalms, I love re- flecting on David and the other Psalmists words to God. Some- times the Psalms are a pendu- lum swing of emotion. But many of us can open the psalms and find one we can resonate with. VINCENT CHRISTIAN CHURCH 8264 E. State Rd. 56 Sunday morning worship and the Lord's supper at 9:30 a.m.; Sunday school at 10 :30 a.m.; evening worship at 6:30 p.m. We will be meeting in accordance with social distancing and with WINSLOW CHRISTIAN CHURCH Corner of Lafayette and Walnut Pastor 812-753-3539 Sunday school 9:30 a.m.; morning worship 10 :30 a.m.; We extend a warm welcome to everyone. Dr. Robert Asa, Minister What I love about Psalm 8 is it declares, poetically the glo- ry of God as the writer looks over creation. I believe when we open our mouths from the time we wake up, to the time we lay down, to proclaim the glo- ry of God, it would change the entire outlook of our days and our lives.
