How to reach us FREEMAN: Governor Walker's proposed budget has caused concern for two entities in your district. The city of Brookfield is concerned due to the budget's levy limits and the Elmbrook School District because of the zero percent revenue limit. Have you talked with the city and school district about their concerns, and what are you doing to address them? HUTTON: I am hearing concerns from local municipalities about the caps on spending and property taxes. We are scheduling meetings with those leaders to discuss those concerns further. However, the majority of residents are telling me they can't afford an increase in their taxes and are asking all levels of government to tighten their budgets like they personally have had to. Regarding education and our school districts, I support the governor's idea that all children, regardless of their ZIP code, deserve a quality education.
