A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Aden and Ethel Tate Towery. Eddie and his wife, Linda, enjoyed riding to the mountains and eating at their favorite res- taurant. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Linda Towery; sisters, Becky Smith and husband Tim of Forest City and Pat Canipe of Lattimore; brother, Gene Towery of Forest City; and extended family, Robbie Thrift and wife Wendy of Boiling Springs and Tammy Cash and husband Mark of Shelby. Online Condolences: www. claybarnette.com KENNETH BERNARD "MOO MOO" SIMS Mr. Kenneth Bernard "Moo Moo" Sims, 53, of 403 Weathers St. Shelby, COLLEEN PRUITT HENDERSON Colleen Pruitt Henderson, 78, of Lackey Road, Vale, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 at her residence. Born in Cleveland County, NC on April 11, 1941, she was the daughter of the late George Edgar Pruitt and Bessie Mae Morgan Pruitt. She was retired from Special Event Linen Company and was a member of North Brook Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Henderson and brother, Robert Pruitt. Survivors include her hus- band of 59 years, Hoyle Phillip Henderson; two sons, Jerry Wayne Henderson and wife, Cindy of Lincoln County and Phillip Pruitt, Sr. of Shelby; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Henderson will lie in state on Sunday, April 5, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at North Brook Baptist Church. A private graveside service will be at North Brook Baptist Church with the Rev. ALAN DAVID GREENE Mooresboro: Alan David Greene, 68, died Sunday, April 5, 2020, at Atrium Health in Charlotte. A native of Rutherford County, he was born on December 17, 1951, to Lucious Coyou Greene and Mary Ethel Harris Greene. Alan was a former truck driver for Kern's Trucking, and was Mountain, NC and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 3, 2020. A graveside service will follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will also receive friends other times at 410 Windcrest Drive Shelby. NORMA JEAN HARRINGTON FUCHS Norma Jean Harrington Fuchs, 95 passed away on April 4, 2020 at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas, NC. She was born on Mother's Day, May 11, 1924 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Walter Preston and Irene Miller Harrington. She was one of four children - Helen, Mary and Bill who all preced- ed her in death. Her grand- father taught her to drive in 1937, round and round the cow pasture. She was edu- cated in Farmington, Missouri schools and graduated high school in 1942. November 5, 1943 she was united in marriage to Alfred E. Fuchs. They had seven children. Preston Fuchs, Ella Depew (Jerry), Jack (Brenda), Walter (Cindy), Alice Gardner (Danny), Rebecca Budd (Bill), Kelly Steele. Jack, Preston, and Ellie preceded Norma in death as well as one grand- son, Tyler Cole Butler. In 1946 she joined the Daughters of the American Revolution, became inactive in 1948 and was reinstalled in February 1985. Served as Regent three two year terms. Norma enjoyed family history, sewing, knitting and crochet- ing. She was christened in the Methodist Church when she was a baby and joined in May 1937. She served on the Jefferson County, Missouri Community Action Agency for 6 years. Presiding County NC departed this life on Friday, March 27, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby. He was born on May 28, 1966 in Cleveland County, NC to Patricia Sims Hartgrove and the late Jay Lewis Hartgrove. Kenneth attended Burns High and Shelby High Schools. He was a member of New Jerusalem Church where he sang on the choir and served in the music department. He was former- ly employed with Jackson's Cafeteria until his health declined. Even through his health issues, he never was one to complain. He loved to joke, have a good time and listen to music. He also loved his dog Lucky. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Betty Lee Sims and three uncles, James A. Barron, Henry Sims, Jr. and Cedric Sims. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Patricia Ann Hartgrove; one aunt, Kathleen Hosch and a host of cousins, special "brothers" and friends. Due to recent coronavi- rus state guidelines limiting the size of gatherings, the service for Mr. Sims will be private. He may be viewed on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The family will be receiving friends from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at the funeral home. an outgoing, kind, loving man with a large sense of humor. He had many friends and never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Don Greene. He is survived by his sister, Frances McCarter and hus- band Glenn, of Huntersville, NC; niece, Patty Grigg and husband Robert, and great nephew John of Lawndale, NC. Online Condolences: www.claybarnette.com. LINDA MITCHELL FARMER Ms. Linda Mitchell Farmer, 56, of Shelby, NC died Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain, NC. She was born in Cleveland County, NC on June 7, 1963 to Nellie Ruth Lott Mitchell and the late Raymond Mitchell. Linda was a 1981 gradu- ate of Burns High School. She was a member of Zoar Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an usher. She enjoyed reading, walking, listening to music, watching t.v., dancing, solv- ing word puzzles and being around family and friends. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandpar- ents, Jessie B. and Essie Mae Bailey Lott and paternal grandparents, Samuel and Frances Mitchell. She was a talented dress- maker, designer and consul- tant specializing in weddings. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, serving as president for three terms and a member to the Military Order of Cooties, the honor branch of Veterans of Foreign Wars, serving as president three years. In 2012 she received the Humanitarian Award from the State of North Carolina. On October 3, 2019, she was saved and born again. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. JAMES ERVIN "JIM" CAMP Gaffney -- James Ervin "Jim" Camp, 74, of 806 Beech St., passed away on Monday, April 6th, 2020, at Blue Ridge In Brookview Healthcare Center. Born in Bessemer City, he was the wife of Peggy Bolin Camp and the son of the late Claude Camp and Virgie Mullinax Camp. Mr. Camp for- merly worked in textiles and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. Camp is survived by his three children, Jeffery James Camp of Gaffney, Candice Camp Wilkins and hus- band, David Bruce Wilkins Jr., of Blacksburg, and Mark Anthony Camp of Bessemer City, NC; four grandchildren, Christa Camp, Jacob Camp, Dylan Wilkins, and Alanna Wilkins; one grandson, Liam Camp; and one broth- er, Claude Palmer "Bubba" Camp Jr., of Grover. Mr. Camp was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Billy and Kelly Camp. Cryptside services will be held Wednesday, April 8th, 2020, at 2:00 pm at Clingman Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bobby Bolin officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service. The family will be at their respective homes.
