Lash- er will bring a wealth of experience in the collegiate baseball world to the Mighty Oak baseball tradition. OCU Athletic Director T-Ray Fletcher said, "I am very excited to announce that Andy Lasher will be the new head baseball coach at Oakland City University." Lasher is a native of nearby Newburgh and graduated from Castle High School in 2009, and played his collegiate ball at Olney Central College and the University of Evansville. He was a starting outfield- er for all four years of his playing career. His coaching career includes Olney Central College, Eastern Illinois Univer- sity, the University of Southern Indiana and the Dubois County Bombers in the Ohio Valley League. In his four years as the manager of the Bombers, Lasher won two OVL championships (2015 and 2017) and the 2018 Blue Grass World series. His overall record with the Bombers was 122- 63. CORRECTION In the story referring to the lost spring sports season for the Pike Central Lady Charger softball seniors last week, Karsyn Pipes was inadvertently misidentified in her biography. She is the shortstop for the Lady Chargers, not the Lady Titans. We regret the misidentification. PAC to give seniors medals The Pocket Athletic Conference on Monday unanimously voted to recognize all senior spring sport student-athletes as All-Pocket Athletic Conference for the 2020 season. The Pocket Athletic Conference member school administrators agreed that during these unprecedented times in high school sports, in which student-athletes had no control over how their final season as a high school student ended, that it was appropri- ate to name each as All-Conference. Each student-athlete will receive a medal. The Pocket Athletic Conference consists of the following high schools: Forest Park, Gibson Southern, Heritage Hills, North Posey, Pike Central, Southridge, South Spencer, Tecumseh and Tell City.
