Opening Ceremonies was held on Monday, April 15th at Gardner Webb University's Spangler Stadium. Neal Senior Center To Celebrate Golden Nineties Golden Nineties, sponsored by the Cleveland County Council on Aging/Senior Center celebrates all Cleveland County residents age 90 and better during a special luncheon in May as part of Older Americans Month. This special event will be held May 9, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. The Council on Aging/Senior Center is seeking the names and addresses of Cleveland County residents 90 & better in order to invite them to this very special recognition luncheon. If you know someone who is 90 years young or more please contact the Senior Center at 704-482-3488, so a personal invitation for the luncheon may be sent to the person. All persons who are 90 years young or better may enjoy the Luncheon free of charge. All guests and/or the general public who wish to attend may do so, but there will be a fee of $7.00 per person. The Senior Center will begin to take reservations for the Golden Nineties Luncheon on April 4, 2013. All persons (90+ age adults, guests or the general public) interested in attending must make a reservation to attend by April 30 2013. To make your reservation, please call 704-482-3488.
