Zion Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Mrs. McNeely was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Lee McNeely; parents, Frank Luther and Sally Baxter Beam; brothers Dwight, Bryan, F.L., Kent and Cranson Beam and sisters Viola Eaker, Madeline Beam and Josephine Beam. She is survived by her sons, Bill McNeely(Brenda) and Tommy McNeely (Sandy) both of Cherryville, three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters Sue Phillips of Charlotte, Gonza LaHood, Valdosta, Ga., and Nancy Beam of Dobson, NC and a sister in law Edith Ellen Beam of Cherryville. Mr. Smith served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julian Elbert and Helen Pritchard Smith. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Wanda Smith; two sons, Todd Smith of Mt. Holly, and Daniel Smith and wife Vicky of Concord; a daughter, Lauren Smith of Charlotte; a granddaughter.
