Peters- burg Fire Chief Ross Elmore said when the grain dryer was being started, the first burner did not ignite, but the second burner did and when it ignited the residue gas from the first burner caught fire and set some of the grain in the dryer on fire. He said the access covers had to be removed to access the burn- ing grain inside the dryer unit. It happened at about 3:30 p.m. Monday at 4170 W. SR56, Petersburg. El- more said he did not know the owner of the dryer.
