She was born on Oct. 13, 1955, in Evansville, to Ray- mond and Frances "Todd" Bigham. She had worked in a Fami- ly Painting Business, at Mei- jer's Department Store in In- dianapolis and at Bonkers in Oakland City. She is survived by her sons, Sean (Brandi) Minard, of Lebanon, Ind., and Brent Minard, of Pendleton, Ind.; a daughter, Jessica Iles, of In- dianapolis; two grandchil- dren; sister, Phyllis (Billy) Cole, of Bloomingdale, Ga.; and brothers, Jim (Suzanne) Bigham, of Evansville, Har- old (Robin) Bigham, of Owensboro, Ky., and Bill Bigham, of Evansville. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Rebecca Lynn Schul- theis. Celebration of Life was at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, at Lamb-Basham Me- morial Chapel. STACY NICOLE HOLMES Stacy Nicole Holmes, 44, of Oakland City, entered rest on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019, at her home. She was born on April 14, 1975, in Princeton, to Wil- liam "Bill" Holmes and Nan- cy Alvey. She graduated from Wood Memorial High School and earned an Associate Degree in Business from Oakland City University. She is survived by her daughter, Kolbi King; her mother, Nancy (Tom) Al- vey, of Oakland City; a sis- ter, Lori (Brad) Elaman, of Francisco; four nephews; and one great-nephew. She was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Holmes. Services were at noon on Saturday; Dec. 28, 2019, at SANDR A FAYE HENKE Sandra Faye Henke, 65, of Stendal, passed away Thurs- day, December 26, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. She was born June 14, 1954, in Huntingburg, to John and Dorthea (Reller) Henke. She was a retired furni- ture factory worker, a mem- ber of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Stendal, enjoyed reading romance novels and loved animals. She is survived by one son, Michael Henke, of Stendal; three sisters, Con- nie Bush, of Stendal, Lisa Luker, of Jasper, and Kelly Aldridge, of Winslow; and one brother, Rick Henke, of Velpen. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Terry Henke. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. EST on Satur- day, January 4, 2020, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Stendal, with Pastor Ed Wicks officiating. Mill- er, 92, of Oakland City, en- tered rest on Sunday Dec. 15, 2019, at the Good Samar- itan Home in Oakland City. He was born on Feb. 6, 1927, in Pike County, to Bertin and Audra M. ( Yag- er) Miller. He was a retired coal miner from Lynnville Pea- body Mine and a mem- ber of U.M.W.A., also a lifetime farmer. He was a 50 -year member of Oak- land City Masonic Lodge # 467. He attended Oakland City Church of The Naza- rene. He enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, raising hunt- ing dogs, gardening and be- ing BBQ taste tester for his son's BBQ business. He is survived by his daughter, Paula ( Jim) Key, of Princeton; son, Steve (Linda) Miller, of Oakland City; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded by death by his parents; wife, Barbara H, Miller, on June 14, 2011; and sisters, Marilee Miller and Lorene Phillips. Graveside services will take place at a later date at Mt. EDITH A. NORRINGTON Edith A. Norrington, 101, of Otwell, passed away at 10 :40 a.m. on Tuesday, De- cember 24, 2019, at Golden Living Center in Petersburg. She was born in Velpen on January 30, 1918, to Albert and Alma (Arnold) Scott. She had two marriages. She married Oda George Richardson on December 23, 1939. He preceded her in death in August of 1951. She then married Arvel Nor- rington in 1962, he preceded her in death in July of 1969. She was a homemaker who raised three boys on her own, and had worked for the Otwell Milling Com- pany, the Press-Dispatch and the Parker Drug Store in Winslow. She was a member of Otwell United Methodist Church, and a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Pe- tersburg and the Otwell Community Center. She en- joyed quilting, crocheting, traveling, decorating for the holidays, and spending time with friends and family. Surviving are one son, Earl Richardson, of Peters- burg; one stepdaughter, Betty Fears; two stepsons, John Norrington and Don- ald Norrington; six grand- children; eight great-grand- children; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her two hus- bands, she was preceded in death by two sons, Dan- ny Joe Richardson and Ray- mond Albert Richardson; two sisters, Maude Steen and Oline Whitehead; and one brother, Russell Scott. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. on Monday, Decem- ber 30, 2019, at Otwell Unit- ed Methodist Church in Ot- well, with Rev. Jeff Pinney officiating. Burial followed in New Liberty Cemetery in Velpen. K ATHLEEN LAVONNE GR AY Kathleen LaVonne ( Weisheit) Gray, 96, long- time Otwell resident, passed away on December 26, 2019, at Waters Nursing Home in Martinsville. She was born to Frank and Edythe Weisheit on April 23, 1923, near Washington. LaVonne attended Iva grade school and graduat- ed from Otwell High School in 1938. She served in the 1463rd Women's Army Corp from February 1945 through October 1946 at Fort McClel- lan, Ala., as a surgical tech- nician. She was married to her late husband, Joe Gray, in December 1948. Together, they farmed in Pike County for five decades. She was an active member of the Burr Oak Traylor Union Church until relocating to central In- diana. She worked at the Jas- per Memorial Hospital from 1967 to 1989. She is survived by her six children, Karen Shinkle, of Plainfield, Nancy Larsen, of Plainfield, Ellis Gray, of Otwell, Mark Gray, of Ow- ensboro, Ky., Betty Rus- sell, of Gosport, and Er- ma Aish, of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Ron Weisheit, of Indianapolis, and Fred Weisheit, of Westminster, Colo. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. ROBERT LEE PRIDE Robert "Bob" Lee Pride, 85, of Winslow, passed away December 28, 2019, in Oak- land City. He was born December 27, 1934, in Pike County, to Raymond and Mearl Pride. He served in the Air Force, loved fishing and read his Bible every day. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Pride; stepson, Billy (Linda) Mill- er; brothers, Steve (Mary) Pride, Gary (Sue) Pride and Bill (Laura) Pride; sis- ter, Caren (Curley) Bennett; grandson, Jeremiah Miller; great-grandchildren, Alex, Austin and Alyssa Miller; and great-great-grandchil- dren, Kashdon and Bohdi Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Glen "Scoop" Miller; brothers, Ferrell and Gerald Pride; and sisters, Shirley Nichol- son and Vera Leighty. She was preceded in death by her parents; broth- ers, Bill and Bob Phebus; and her husband, Cliff Dep- uty, who passed in 1990. MARY JO DEPUTY Mary Jo Deputy, 88, of Jasper, formerly of Oakland City, entered rest peaceful- ly on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at her home. She was born on June 26, 1931, in Mt. Carmel, Ill., to Gail Wilbur and Mary Me- lissa (Rice) Phebus. She married Cliff Deputy on July 20, 1950. During the time Cliff served in the mili- tary, they lived in Virginia. A fter moving to Oakland City, she worked at Charles Farmer Insurance Agency. She was a member of the Princeton Christian Church and their Women's Serv- ing Our Savior group. She played the piano for church each Sunday from the time she was 16 until she was 83 years old, serving God for 67 years.
