Neal Center-Council on Aging Trip Nashville – Music City, USA October 14, 15 & 16, 2019 A regular activity of the Neal Center is our Monday Night Bingo games. After a busy day, many enjoy com- ing to our Bingo games to relax and catch-up with friends and family. In addi- tion, there is always the pos- sibility of winning a cash prize! However, in order to make a successful game, the Neal Center relies on volun- teers! These special people work with the Neal Center staff to prepare for the games each week. Between work- ing the Bingo floor, assisting in the kitchen or delivering the cash prizes to the Bingo winners, our volunteers are valuable and make all the difference in the success of our weekly game. If you would like to vol- unteer with our Monday Night Bingo, the Neal Center would welcome you! As a Bingo volunteer, you would be in constant con- tact with the patrons of the game. It's a fun way to meet people and help the Neal Center at the same time. Your will be shown how to work in your assigned area, including having an expe- rienced Bingo volunteer to work with you. Once you are familiar with the routine, you will be able to work on your own! You also will receive a free meal before the game begins. A completed volunteer application is the first step towards becoming a Bingo volunteer. Feel free to come by the Neal Center and complete an application. The Neal Center is open Monday-Thursday from 8AM-5PM and on Friday from 8AM-1PM. For fur- ther information, please contact Deniece Land, Volunteer Coordinator at the Neal Center, at 704/481-7386. We'll see you at Bingo! Bingo Volunteers Did you know approx- imately 80% of the care of older adults is provided within the home by family members?
