Pike County's Got Talent to showcase local performers The 4-H Council of Pike County and the Li- ons Club, of Petersburg and Winslow, will be presenting the second annual Pike County's Got Talent on Saturday, July 27, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Pike Coun- ty 4-H Fair. The contest will be at the stage in Hornady Park as part of the 4-H Fair festivities. Adult division is a coun- ty-only competition and the winners will re- ceive a trophy for solo or group performanc- es. Youth divisions will also receive trophies, but have the addition- al option to advance to the Indiana State Fair Competition. More in- formation, including ap- plications, guidelines, rules and judging cri- teria, are available on- line at the Pike Coun- ty 4-H Fair Facebook page or by calling the Pike County Extension Office at 812-354-6838. Family-friendly music is required. There will be karaoke for fun fol- lowing the competition. Contestants sought for Miss Labor Day pageants The 133rd Labor Day Celebration will be at the Gibson County Fair- grounds in Princeton from August 30 -Sep- tember 2. Seeking contestants for the following pag- eants: Little Miss Pageant 5 -8 years old; Little Mister 5 -8 years old; Junior Miss 9 -11 years old; Junior Miss 12-15 years old and Miss La- bor Day Queen 16 -21 years old. All contestants must be related to a union member. They could be a son, daughter, niece, nephew, or grandchild as an example. They must also be spon- sored/representing a union. Deadline to en- ter these pageants is Monday, August 5. All entry forms and infor- mation is available on the Labor Day Associ- ation website at www. labordayassoc.com/ pageants.
