Arts & Entertainment Page 4 February 15, 2013 Temple Run more addicting than ever Temple Run has uped its game and created a sequel that wont let you put down your iPhone addition to saving up coins, any gems I collect I save them. After I get fifty gems, I go for a high score. this strategy allows me to save myself around five or 6 times in one run. Overall, Temple Run 2 is one of the most addicting games that has come out in the last year. Whenever I get bored or have a little free time on my hands I try to play the game. I recommend this game to pretty mcuh anyone that needs a fun and challenging game to play while bored. It is for all ages pretty much, but just as a word of advice you must have the quick fingers to get far and watch out for that giant monkey thats on your tail. Garrett Sandow Sports Editor Temple Run 2 is an extremely addicting game that drives you to play time and time again. Temple Run 2 is a virtually never ending game. The max score one can achieve is 100,000,000 and only 8 players have acheved this feat world wide. The object of the game is to achieve the highest score possible while collecting coins. Temple Run 2 has an upgrade store to buy shields, longer coin magnets, coin value upgrader, boost distance upgrader, save me gems, and score multiplier. By upgrading your score multiplir and coin value, the overall score will increase. While playing Temple Run, one can collect green diamond gems. These gems help save your self when you die during a run. the 1st time you die, it only http://media.idownloadblog.com costs 1 Gem to save yourself. Following that, the gems will start to double and triple if you decide to save your self more than once on the same run. Before playing each game, a list of onjectives are given. Their are 3 objectives per level. After you Bluffer Staff Pick The Patriot (2000) Mitch Fox Staff Writer The Patriot, starring Mel Gibson is a great flick describing the hardships during the Revolutionary War. In this movie you get everything from action, to compassion, to nerve racking. The movie was given a well-earned two thumbs up. The main character Benjamin Martin(Mel Gibson), was known as a hero in the American-Indian conflict, but sworn to never fight again to keep the peace within his family. But when the British arrive, he has no choice but to fight back. Although Martins son Gabriel(Heath Ledger) doesnt have his fathers consent he decides to join the army anyway. He ends up getting taken captive when there is a battle right in front of Benjamins house and they gave aid to the wounded. When the British Calvary showed up, I knew something was going wrong when they caught Gabriel with a secret message. Gabriel tried to convince the British that he did not know his father that they were just people helping but when his younger brother tried freeing him the lie was broken and the younger son was shot dead. I felt a sense of relief when shortly after Benjamin lead his remaining two sons to go save Gabriel before he was hung. These British moves were enough to set off Martin and make his start his own militia with his son Gabriel. The British were no match for the Guerrilla Warfare used by the Militia and soon lead to an American victory. By the end of the movie you start to feel a sense of relief and satisfaction as Martin kills the leader of the British Calvary who has killed two of Martins sons. At the end the French arrive to help finish off the British leaving America a free nation. This movie will keep you entertained and also teach you some history at the same time, I highly recommend it. complete the objectives, you level up and reeive gems and coins. Coins and gems are the key to upping your high schore and getting a farther run. Personally, I save up all my coins until I can buy an upgrade that I need to increase my score. In Be careful with your gems... The Secret Circle more for the girl type audience This book is filled love, hatred and drama Sahvanna Rice Staff Writer The Secret Circle series, written by L.J. Smith, is a great book series and would be recommended more for girls, unless youre into drama and witches. In these books there is a lot of action, drama and of course, love and hatred. I would read these books over and over again. They are addicting, mysterious and leave you with chills. Definitely two thumbs up. The series was well written and overall interesting. These books also have betrayal, jealousy and supernatural power plus mystery, which is cool. L.J. Smith wrote about how a girl, Cassie Blake, moved from a small town to a magical place where her mother grew up, New Salem, New England to start her new life. Cassie comes into contact with a group of unlikely friends. Later on, the group of friends realize Cassie has powers of a blood witch and asks her to join their circle. Cassie later agrees to accompany the group, and then they find something out that will interest the reader even more! Cassie is overall lost and confused, but when she finds her place in the group shes complete and whole. The Secret Circle is a series that was later made into a television show. The television show follows the book pretty well, except in the show Cassies mother is dead and in the book the mother supports Cassie and helps her when shes stuck in a situation. Other than that, it follows it pretty well. But read the book first, and then watch the show; the book is slightly better, but whats the point of reading a book that you already know what to expect. This book is most definitely worth the sit down if youre into this kind of stuff; it expands your imagination and something I would and am reading again. Between the drama, love, supernatural powers, mystery, suspense, action and betrayal; I would definitely borrow, checkout of the nearest library or especially buy, just to read again. A great series for girls who love drama. A movie that will grasp your heart. Morgan Freeman Invictus (2009) R.E.D.
