Valerie Lewis went the distance against Lincoln in game one, walking one, striking out one and allow- ing two hits, while Kerstin Osborne took the loss for Lincoln. McKendree Ward did the most damage for the Lady Oaks, with three RBIs, three of three at the plate, and a double and a pair of singles. Demi Croak, a 2018 Pike Central graduate, went 2-3 with a run scored, while Rea- gan Hensley and McKend- ree Ward were 3 of 3 at the plate. In game two, Croak led the Oaks at the plate going 3-5 with three RBIs. She drove in two with a sin- gle down the right field line in the third and then singled to center for an RBI. She got the only hit for the Oaks in the ninth. The team travels to Hi- wassee College in Madison- ville, Tenn., this Wednes- day and Thursday for a four- game series against the Ti- gers. Swaggin' Dragons win Winslow softball tourney The Swaggin' Dragons took home the trophy Saturday at the Winslow hosted softball tournament as a benefit for the Winslow Sports League. They were undefeated in a tourney that consisted of five area teams. Fish are biting It may be early and the calendar still officially says winter, but Eli James Ambrose, 4, caught this large Crappie last Tuesday in Pike County.
