The Press-Dispatch Church Wednesday, Januar y 2, 2019 C- 3 MINUTES Continued from page 1 Continued from page 2 ham refuses the rich man's request, explaining that if his brothers would not hear the Word of God "nei- ther will they be persuaded though one rose from the dead" (Luke 16:31). The way to avoid the lot of the rich man, then, is to believe the Word of God, particularly that part of the Word which tells how Christ died for our sins that we might be justified by grace through faith. Don't be deceived by the old ad- age: "Misery loves compa- ny." Receive Christ as your Savior today. "Believe on the Lord Je- sus Christ and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 16:31). So many trials come in- to our lives and along with the business of life. These things can easily choke out the Life of God in us. But praise God, "But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things will be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33). What things will be add- ed? God's order back into our lives—a peace that pass- all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become ma- ture, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:11-13, NIV ).
