James Capozella photo Bath bombs and candles have a brand new $2 bill in them and are available in a great many fragrances and styles. James Capozel- la photo By James Capozella SG Star-Times Staff Writer staff@sgstartimes.com The BathBombs/Petersburg store, a national franchise owned by Rob Franklin and operated by his wife, Carol, opened this past July on Main Street. The store started by offering numerous styles of bath bombs, T- shirts, cedar wax roses and candles, and has since expanded into a huge variety of specialty products. The 714 E. Main Street location features bath bombs that contain a brand new $2 bill. They al- so have jewel- ry bath bombs that contain items such as rings, neck- laces, brace- lets and ear- rings. Carol said their can- dles also have a brand new $2 bill inside. Some of the new items available are floral arrange- ments, essen- tial oils, show- er steamers, specialty soap, children's toys, kangaroo pouches, make your own story charm bracelets and jewelry. Carol said, "The jewelry for sale is priced from $15 to $ 90 and designed for holiday, party, prom and cocktail occasions." Floral arrangements start at $45, and cedar wax roses are $ 3.99 each or $ 39.99 for a dozen, in a vari- ety of colors. The recently opened Boutique in Back (BiB) section of the store of- fers something for everyone from kids to grown-ups. Specialty soaps, coconut, essential oils, YoSocks, kan- garoo pouches for your iPad, the lat- est toys and gifts, and much more is there to explore. New things are pop- ping up all the time throughout the store. One new item for the kids are inexpensive superhero bath bombs. BathBombs/Petersburg custom- ers can enter a drawing for a $120 gift basket to be given away at 5 p.m. Christmas Eve. Carol said, "Our vision is to be known as the best in our product. Our goal is to be number one in Peters- burg and online. We hope to achieve this by treating each person with re- spect, to be open with and grateful for all customers, and also make good use of social media" to reach out in- to the community. Carol said they came to know the product through Christopher Daniel Coleman and are now "thankful to the Petersburg community for accepting us and Bath- Bombs/Petersburg." The store is open from 10 a.m. un- til 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. BathBombs is closed Sundays and al- so Christmas day. The newly renovat- ed store front interior invites brows- ing the colorful displays that attract your eyes and nose in a very nice way. The store can be contacted at 812-789 -3054 and is located next to Marge's Hallmark and Greene Spe- cific Chiropractic. Rob Franklin, owner of BathBombs/ Petersburg, is pictured in the shop on Main Street with the hat he wore during the 2018 Buffalo Trace Festival. Six-year-old Gabe Steimel was with his grandmother, Beverly Weitkamp, choosing a super hero bath bomb and then signing up for the Christ- mas Eve Drawing for a $120 basket. Gabe said some of the items in the basket he didn't need but Bath Bombs own- er Rob Franklin advised him there were items for him in there as well plus he could give some things as gifts.
