In addition, the team of Burdette, Michael Bur- khart, Edrington and Mul- lins placed third in the 200 -yard medley relay with a time of 2:38.11; the team of Michael Burkhart, Edrington, Luff and Readle placed third in the 400 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 5:33.09; the team of Bur- dette, Correll, McKinney and Zimmerman placed fifth in the 400 -yard free- style relay with a sea- son-best time of 6:45.48; the team of Correll, McK- inney, Theising and Zim- merman placed sixth in the 200 -yard medley relay with a time of 4:07.63; and the team of Max Burkhart, Correll, Theising and Zim- merman placed sixth in the 200 -yard freestyle re- lay with a time of 3:30.80. As a team, Pike Cen- tral placed second with 76 points. Jasper was first with 163 points, while Te- cumseh finished third with 66 points. PCMS Continued from page 1 Seventh grader Isaac Burdette and sixth grader Graham Mullins won two individual events each as the Pike Central Middle School boys' swimming team defeated host Heri- tage Hills 99 -56 on Thurs- day, March 8. Burdette placed first in the 100 -yard individual medley with a season-best time of 1:26.74 and in the 50 -yard breastroke with a season-best time of 42.46 seconds, while Mullins placed first in the 200 -yard freestyle with a time of 2:24.87 and in the 50 -yard backstroke with a time of 34.49 seconds. Burdette and Mullins al - so teamed up with eighth grader Alex Edrington and seventh grader Michael Burkhart to place first in the 200 -yard medley relay with a time of 2:35.05. In addition, Mullins teamed up with Michael Burkhart, seventh grader Draven Readle and sixth grader Wyatt Luff to place first in the 200 -yard medley relay with a time of 2:15.89. Also placing first in an in- dividual event for the Char- gers was sixth grader Grif- fin Correll in the 100 -yard freestyle with a sea- son-best time of 1:38.66. Placing second in indi- vidual events for the Char- gers were Michael Bur- khart in the 100 -yard indi- vidual medley with a time of 1:36.23; Luff in diving with a three-dive score of 47.25 points and in the 50 -yard butterfly with a time of 46.10 seconds; Rea- dle in the 50 -yard free- style with a time of 36.64 seconds; and sixth grad- er Cobey McKinney in the 200 -yard freestyle with a time of 3:23.10. Placing third in individ- ual events for the Char- gers were Edrington in the 100 -yard individual medley with a time of 1:38.00 ; Rea- dle in the 50 -yard breast- stroke with a time of 47.75 seconds; eighth grad- er Isaac Theising in the 50 -yard butterfly with a time of 1:40.36; and sixth grader Tyler Zimmerman in the 100 -yard freestyle with a time of 2:00.50 and in the 50 -yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.58. Placing fourth in indi- vidual events for the Char- gers were Correll in the 200 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 3:39.53; and sixth grad- er Max Burkhart in the 50 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 52.51 seconds and in the 50 -yard backstroke with a time of 1:09.03. Placing fifth in individu- al events for the Chargers were McKinney in t he 50 -yard breaststroke with a season-best time of 54.03 seconds; and Theising in the 50 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 1:01.17. Also competing but not placing for the Chargers was fifth grader Chris Nicholson, who posted a time of 54.20 seconds in the 50 -yard freestyle and a time of 1:03.37 in the 50 -yard backstroke. In addition, the team of Max Burkhart, Cor - rell, McKinney and Zim- merman placed second in the 200 -yard freestyle re- lay with a time of 3:32.87; the team of Burdette, Edrington and Luff placed second in the 400 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 5:46.31; and the team of Max Burkhart, Cor- rell, McKinney and The- ising placed third in the 200 -yard medley relay with a season-best time of 3:26.00. Pike Central will wrap up its season by participating in the Pocket Athletic Con- ference Championships at Southridge, with prelimi- naries set for Wednesday, March 14, and finals set for Thursday, March 15, start- ing both nights at 6:30 p.m., Eastern time.
